Experienced Player LF D&D 4E GM & Group, Any Time after Noon Any Day

Why no 4E D&D games up right now? I really want to start up a game. I can't GM, tho, I sold my DMG and MM. I've only gotten a few chances to play 4E and I bought a lot of books.  I'm going to play a dwarven fighter tank with high defenses and ally-helping abilities named Rocky. A high point-buy for attributes would be ideal. I don't like GMs who are stingy with the points, besides, I need 2 high scores for my build to work. I don't like playing with large groups either, I would prefer only 3-4 players other than myself. Of course, it will be up to the GM to decide. If we get one. If anyone else is interested, as I'm sure they are, please reply soon and we can get this going.
I will gladly join your group. I am relatively new to D&D (have played 3.5 not 4e)  but do wish to play Eladrin Pursuit Avenger named Althran.
I would join, would love to play often.
I would like to join your group if you do not mind new players.
New players are definitely welcome. Hopefully we get someone willing to GM soon.
Just a friendly piece of advice, you'll find that alot of DMs are wary of seeing people have pre-set characters that they are going to play either way. You should make a character after you hear about the setting, not hamfist a pre-made character and fit the setting around it. Stuff like "A high point-buy for attributes would be ideal. I don't like GMs who are stingy with the points, besides, I need 2 high scores for my build to work." isn't all that encouraging for a DM either (and as an experienced 4e player you should know almost any build of fighter is very strong, you don't really -need- even more stats). Besides, you're supposed to be a little weak at the lower levels, what's the fun in always having easy combat and a build that's almost working too good? I'm talking out of experience as a DM myself, groups with random characters jumbled together tend to fall apart quicker. Sometimes the players themselves, often the DM that just gets tired of storytelling an inconsistent mess.
Pieter, Just about any character needs at least two high stats. And asking for a decent point buy isn't all that bad in my opinion. If a DM is put off by me saying I want to play a certain character and have decent stats, well, he's in the wrong game.  The main reason I listed my character idea was so A:the group knows they already have a tank and B: I get to play a character I actually like. And I know you're suppose to be kind of weak at low levels, I'm not asking for an over-powered character here, in fact, I made my character with the bare minimum point buy just in case. I've DMed many times myself, and I know that if you are a stubborn unaccommodating DM you will quickly find yourself without players and I don't want a DM like that. I want to play a character I'll have fun with, and I don't want to be in another campaign where I'm level 10, broke, and have no magical gear. That's not fun. Besides, this is a LFG post. So don't post unless you want to join the group.
I might try to join if it's a GMT friendly... But I strongly suggest we find a roleplay oriented DM. Hack and slash gets boring after the first weeks.
That's true. And I don't think time zone will be a problem.
Well, since you opened the post, Aaron, you should try seeing what DMs are around. I know Pieter is trying to get a group going...
I'm looking. If Pieter wants to DM this that's fine with me. I got nothing against him despite what my previous post may have implied.
I will still be happy to join and time zone is not a problem for me
