It is set in Dungeons & Dragons 5'th Edition Faerûn on the sword coast. I've hosted several other campaigns, but this is the first time with 5'th edition. Our first game will be this Thursday the 7. may. Even though i have set of a "main questline" for you to follow, I encourage free thinking. If you would rather gather an army of mercenaries and unite the continent under your iron heel? - great! If your goal is to annihilate the gods, great! I will try to put you in tough situations. This might be one of them: :You have finally cached the runaway prisoner, she fought with a terrible temper, and you are happy to finally be rid of her. However, when you deliver her you realize that she was a former slave, just trying to flee from her masters. You have already been paid, what do you do? Break the law and break your contract? Or allow it, and go on your way? ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Frostmaiden Chapter I Eternal fire, and the frost maiden. This campaign will be aim to be slightly more gritty, than the average D&D campaign including things like: disease outbreaks, famine, war, slavery and poverty. Inspired by "The Witcher". Though i will aim not to make this a "depression simulator". ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The party is on their way to the city of Goldenfields, northeast of Waterdeep, on the sword coast. You are hired to investigate a violent cult’s activities, near the main temple of the city. The objective is to make sure, that the temple and its practitioners are not harmed by these cultists. ' Some of the local townsfolk have according to rumors begun converting to the cult “the eternal fire”. And as the name suggest they set fire to things. Merese, the grand cleric of Frosthall, paid for your services, and equipped you with the necessary gear. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Your character: Can be anyone, of any alignment, race and religion. As long as he/she is able to work in a group, for at least a little while. Bad-guys are welcome, as long as they are able to work with people. I do not mind party- back stabbing or player killing, but I do implore you all to give each other a couple of sessions, to at least get to know one another’s characters before we do anything drastic. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Method: We will be playing on Roll20, with either skype or a similar program to communicate.
