I want to run a FATE Core game of Crimeworld from Worlds in Shadow . However, I don't want to play regularly scheduled games ... I want to play on short notice at random times ... I want to play with a variety of people ... and I don't want to do a lot of prep. So, I present to you ... So, What Do You Want to Steal? Here is the idea: Each story arc consists of a single crime story, which can be a con or a heist. Each story arc will be played entirely within a single session ... one night, one crime! Each player would have a single crime-oriented PC and you would play that same PC in every story arc, but you do not need to play every story arc. Therefore, the criminal team will change from session-to-session depending on who is playing. When I am available to play, I will post a message in this forum asking for players. Anyone who wants to play would RSVP and, hopefully, we play! I will try to give everyone as much notice as possible. So, how do we actually play? Every session will start with the GM asking the team one question: "So, What Do You Want to Steal?" The team then decides on a target ... any target ... big or small. You could rob a bank, steal corporate secrets, hold up a gas station, or just go wilding in the streets grabbing cellphones and purses. Your team makes the choice! Then, you plan the mission ... which really means you do all the GM prep. LOL. Are there guards outside? You need to know so WE decide together. Who is the bank manager? YOU tell ME who the manager is! But, the entire time I will be trying to figure out a monkey wrench to throw into your scheme to increase the drama and keep things from getting too predictable. Then ... you execute the plan, break the house, crack the box, and dodge the heat. Payday! Who would participate in a game like this?
