Marketplace Filters

It can be difficult to find content on the marketplace. Please add filters to the marketplace so that we can narrow down the searches or better categorize the content. This might be easy enough to implement with something similar to pre-defined tags that the author selects for the content. Thus allowing them to specify that their content pack contains maps, creatures, characters, objects, etc. Additionally it might also include a genre such as Sci-Fi, Fantasty, etc.

Improvements of search filters would be nice. I think a relevant issue and responsibility though, is on the Marketplace creators/authors. They can name their art files and tag their packs. If the product is missing relevant words from its tags and descriptions, it won't come up. For example one of my favorite packs has lots of circle tokens, but they are only tagged with the word "round". If you search for "circle" they don't come up. If you search for "round" they appear! Marketplace creators can edit their sets to add keywords / tags / and words in the description, which will tend to help it come up in more searches.
I agree that this is partly the communities fault for improperly tagging things. However, what I am proposing comes with a two fold suggestion. #1 - Have actual filters on the left-hand side of the marketplace that allow users to filter content out to find what they are looking for faster. You can use something like an e-shopping experience for reference (Amazon, Ebay, Salesforce AppExchange, BestBuy, etc). These filters would be in the end users hands to assist in finding the content properly. #2 - Have suggested tags for the authors to pick from alongside the ability to add their own tags. EX: the tags/keywords Fantasy, Character, Monster, Dungeon, Cave, Sci-Fi, Male, Female, etc. would be available for them to multi-select. This would assist the newer authors who don't quite understand the ramifications of improperly tagging their content. This also would help spark ideas for things they might have not thought of.

I believe this is something that a lot of artist struggle with including myself. However, this comes down to a few issues that are imposed by limitations of the 256 character limit on files within Window computers. In addition, some Artist such as myself name files perhaps a little different then what another might search for. This could be based on traditional words used in your local dialect may vastly change compared to someone else. I do agree that a better search format could lead to better searches and a more structured format. I do a lot of city sets, and while I learned recently that some people use the word Urban, or Hamlet as a word to search for I would of never guessed that. I typically just type in City, Town, or Village, but that might not be all the major keywords. Of course I try to include others but I'm picking maybe 10-20 keywords for one item, when in fact there could be 100 ways to choose for the exact same item. I cast my vote to improve Marketplace Search.
