2 Players LFG D&D 3.5 RP-Heavy

Short version: A friend and I are looking for a RolePlay centered game in pretty much any fantasy-ish setting. Our characters have already been created in terms of back story, race, and class, and know each other as part of their background. The characters were used in a previous campaign, but it never really got anywhere due to the other members of the group being unable to attend sessions often enough :/ We are perfectly willing to re-roll stats and items and what-not as necessary. We are generally available Friday and Saturday nights (and Sundays if necessary) starting at 9:00 PM EST (GMT -5:00), but we can do Wednesday and Thursday as well if the sessions don't run into the early hours of the morning. Important: We are looking for a game that is centered more on the character and story development than the combat. Obviously combat is fine, but we'd prefer the RP wasn't rushed through like it has been in some of our previous sessions. I play a Halfling Bard, and she plays a Half-Elf Rogue. Slightly Longer Version: My friend and I are looking for a game of D&D 3.5 in a fantasy setting, focused on the roleplay and character development aspects. We both have our characters created with back story, race, and class. The characters were used in a previous campaign that was loaded with house rules to make it easy on the new players we were teaching, so we're both willing to re-roll the stats. However, the back stories, race, and class cannot change. The characters have met as part of their back stories. My character is a Halfling Bard named Ezzran, and hers is a Half-Elf Rogue named Janiel. Normally, I'd be willing to play whatever role is necessary, but the main reason for this post is so we get to play these specific characters again, because they are AMAZINGLY fun for us :D Times we're available (all times are EST, or GMT -5:00 for those of you not in the States): Until August 20th (ish): Wednesday - Thursday: 9:00PM - 1:00AM ( with a short intermission so my friend can welcome her mom home when she gets back from work :3 ) Friday - Saturday: 9:00PM - 3:00 AM Sunday: Preferably not at all, but if necessary, 9:00PM - 1:00AM. Monday - Tuesday: Can't do it. Sorry. After August 20th (ish): Sunday - Thursday: 8:00PM - 1:00AM Friday - Saturday: 8:00PM - 3:00AM Saturday Preferred. I tend to have problems with the in-app voice chat program, but both of us have Skype, and I have an 8-slot Mumble server that I can hand out the info for if we want to use that, instead. As for the characters: Both our characters are Chaotic Neutral, and not in the "actually-Chaotic-Evil" way. We don't randomly kill people because we're random like that. That's bad form for a sneaky rogue and your friendly neighborhood bard. Both of our characters worship Olidammara (did I spell that right?), and like I said above, the characters know each other from previous adventures. Right now, they're level 5 with the stats set up with a bunch of house rules, and we know it, so we're both willing to re-roll the stats if necessary. The two house rules that are particularly note-worthy are that instead of rolling attributes, our DM decided that we be given the values 18, 16, 14, 12, 12, and 10, and distribute them however we wish, as well as rearranging them however we need to. Similar to the style of the Neverwinter Nights series of games, or to the Baldur's Gate series. The other major house rule was that all characters, mobs, and NPCs have the maximum possible HP for their class and level. So at level 5 my bard had 35 hp, but enemy creatures had their max HP values as well. I repeat, we are very willing to redo these stats to fit the actual rules of the game. Lastly, we'd prefer our characters started at level 5 still, just because it's easy, but that's definitely not a must. I'm going to reiterate that we're looking for a game that focuses more on the RP side than on the combat. If you have any more questions, feel free to post or send me a private message! If you want to invite us to your game, then send me a PM with some info about it and we'll talk :P I'll give my Skype info to whoever we end up playing with! Thanks! ~Ian McKie Ezzran, Halfling, Bard 5 P.S. This isn't directly related, but I like to write up in-character journals about the events in each session and post them on my tumblr. They can be found at dndcharacterjournals.tumblr.com and I'd like to do this with whatever session Ezzran ends up in. If you would prefer I didn't that's fine :P Just tell me before-hand. The game is more important to me, really. :)
The campaign I am running is called Eternity Isle, and it's going to be a very role-play heavy campaign, our first game is going to be next week. The issue is that for my campaign I am requiring players start at level three and must take a class from a supplement book no other player has used yet, which may prove a problem since you two seem to already know exactly what you want to play.
I am starting an EST pathfinder game in the next coming weeks. I know its pathfinder and not 3.5, but they are similar enough and I do HEAVY HEAVY encouragement of any and all roleplaying focus. You can ask a buddy of mine that my groan of agony at hearing him go into detail about how he optimized his character turned to squees of joy when I realized the optimization actually sucked and was all intended to make a Biologist character fluff more fluffy and fitting for the character. I was more then willing to allow him to make his own tranq darts when it was used as an anesthesia so he could implant magically created tracking tags into animals. Your stat points may actualy serve as the basis for an option I am thinking to use for stat generation, but may be tweaked as many races would trun that point buy into something quite 'cheap', considering all the core races get an extra +2 ability score then their 3.5 counterparts (Example, +2 str, +2 wis, -2 cha for dwarves, and +2 to anything for humans) I will start at level 1 but HP is max at level 1 and rolled for other levels. However I can allow rerolls for HP as roleplaying rewards, if you should so choose. I like options in my roleplaying rewards. When it comes to backstory, I can easily help you out in that regards. I got all the pathfinder books including the fluff book on how halflings live in the pathfinder world.
Rob C.: I don't think either of us are willing to change our characters' classes. Those are kind of important for their bios. David F.: I personally have no problem playing Pathfinder, except that neither of us have any of the rulebooks for it. I'll have to run it by the other player before I make a decision one way or another :) Don't count us out, but if you can direct us to the rulebooks in some fashion, it would certainly be a plus. Also what are you using for communication?
PM sent, Ian (just another player, before you go getting your hopes up)
Ian, I have good news for you. Not only do I have next to all the sourcebooks in pdf form but here is the FUN thing about pathfinder. It's based off the OGL form of 3.5, and it's own personal open game license goes BEYOND the core rulebooks unlike 3.5. In layman's terms? the mechanics of pathfinder are 99.99% free to be posted on the internet for anyone to see. and this includes ALL the books of pathfinder official. You just don't get the fluff, that's where the sourcebooks come in, because they contain more fluff and lore then 3.5 ever did. here is a site for you <a href="http://www.d20pfsrd.com/" rel="nofollow">http://www.d20pfsrd.com/</a> enjoy
