First, let me introduce myself. I'm Andrew, I have always been a fan of Table Top Games, but I also haven't gotten a chance to play a game in over ten years. I'm 21 now, and the last time I played, I was 9, and it was with my step-dad, who wanted to introduce me to AD&D, which was to complex for my child brain to grasp...
Anyways, I had always kept a weathered eye on the horizon for a TTG I'd like, but sadly, because of the people I know, and the place I live, I don't have much in the way of oppritunity to learn, or let alone play any games. (My friends, who still play games, are very much into Magic, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh card games, which I've never liked, due to the constant need to buy new cards every few months.)
Then I got a shock last year for my birthday, my mother, wonderful woman, got me a collection of virtual books (pdfs) for Christmas for a game called Pathfinder. I was overjoyed. I read the books (or most of them... Okay, mainly the core book, and about half the monster manual 1.) Sadly, it all looked Greek to me. I got some of it, but other parts seemed quite foreign to me. So, I started looking around for a way to play/learn Pathfinder, no one in town really knew what it was, so I scoured the interwebs for the last few months, coming across things like MapTool, and other such programs, and they either looked rather complicated, or cost an arm and a leg to use.
Finally, I found this a little while ago, and watch the videos on how to use it, and it seems pretty straight forward, but I was in the process of job hunting, and school and other such things, so I really didn't get a chance to post, afraid life would drag me away.
However, my life seems to have calmed down quite a bit, so I figured now would be a good time to ask if anyone out there would be willing to teach me the basics of Pathfinder, starting with Character Creation, and then a simple one-shot, or mini-campaign.
tl,dr: I'm looking for a GM who is willing to teach me how to play Pathfinder, from character creation, to how to play the actual game. It can be a solo-game, or with people. (I'd prefer more then just me, because it would probably be more helpful, since these games are usually played with mulitple people.)
I'm open to discussing time. (Timezone is CDT, or GMT -6)
