Markdown formatting not displayed to players

I recently added a big block of text formatted with markdown syntax. It displays fine on my account, but my players see it as unformatted (see screenshot). I tried logging in with my account on my player's computer, and it looked fine to me, and she tried it on mine, so it's definitely a player/gm account issue, not a computer or browser issue. For the record, we're both using Windows 7 SP1 64-bit. I'm using Chrome 21.0.1180.89 m and she's using Firefox 15.0.1

I'm not seeing the screenshot, could you please use the Attach File link under the comment box to share it?

That's another thing. I get an "Uploading..." bar for over ten minutes.
