Hey everyone, For anyone who uses TokenTool for creating Roll20 tokens, here are 2 GIMP Templates for creating your own overlays in TokenTool. Circle Template: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2cjFJTrU5bHclRl... Hex Template: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2cjFJTrU5bHWnZ1... The templates are both 420 by 420 pixels in size, which is 6 times the resolution of a standard Roll20 grid square (70px). That should be plenty large enough for Medium, Large, Huge, and Gargantuan creatures, as well as large enough for zooming the tokens for your players. Here's how the templates work. There are 4 layers: Magenta Mask: TokenTool uses this magenta color for masking out the outside of the token. Make sure you don't have any pure magenta in your overlay. Bump Map: This is used to create the Bump Layer below with the 'Bump Map' filter. Leave this alone if you don't know what a 'Bump Map' filter is. Bump Layer: This layer creates the illusion of a raised bevel on your texture. You can turn it off it you want a flat looking token. Texture Layer: This layer determines what the texture of your overlay is. I have a the pink marble texture (included with GIMP) added already. If you want to change it, use the Bucket Fill tool to fill it with a pattern, and fill the whole selection. For the Texture layer, I'd recommend low saturation colors. High saturation colors blow out the bump map, and diminish the 3d effect. You can use the Colorize Effect to color the textures for different tokens. Save your finished overlays as a .PNG file. To upload the overlay into TokenTool, go to File->Manage Overlays and drag the .PNG files into that window. Don't forget to set the Width and Height of the token to either 420, or any multiple of 70. That way your token is already scaled to fit the Roll20 grid.
