New GM Looking for Players that want to Play Pathfinder

Welcome, as it says I'm planing to start a pathfinder campaign. I welcome both new and experienced players. I'm thinking of having it on Sundays at 6:00 PM CST, but I'm not locked in. We'll use either Skype or Mumble for voice chat, not sure which. Needless to say, you would need some sort of mic to use voice. The rule systems I'll be using are with houserules: Hero Points, Traits, Having a backstory for your character net you a bonus feat. Other than Paizo stuff, Dreamscared Press stuff will be available. With all that in mind, those who have interest in playing should fill out some fields of information. This will help me out. Experience: What's your history with P&PRPG's and RPG's? What type of character do you like to play: Mage? Healer/supporter? Warrior? Something else? No Idea? What are your goals? To have fun? To learn? To help a new GM out? Time: If you can't do Sunday 6:00 PM CST, what time can you get by with? I'm hoping to do a character gen session on 5/24, So I'm thinking I'll decide who's playing around the 18th. If you have any concerns, I'll do my best to resolve them.
I am interested in this game. I have experience in 3.5, 4e, and Pathfinder (PC and GM). I have never used Hero Points, but have used traits. I am interested in playing either a Poisoner Rogue or a Drunken Master Monk, but willing to play pretty much anything. I enjoy RP and Tabletop games and just want to have some fun getting back into it. I am in EST and it would be easier for me to play at or after 8pm her (7pm CST).
Hello, I am also interested to play. Experience: I have table-top experience with D&D 3.5e, and 4e, and nothing else. I've both being a player and GM, but have basically zero experience with Pathfinder and using roll20 itself as well. In fact, zero experience playing in anything other than a face-to-face environment. My past groups have dissolved over the years, but I want to get back in and play again. I have some rule knowledge of Pathfinder, as I have looked through its rules over the past couple of years here and there. I know its basically D&D 3.5 at its core, just a bit more refined, and some differences in rule details here and there. Type of character I like to play: Healer/Support and magic-focused. Basically anything that its not combat/offensive-focused. I'll likely play something like a Cleric or a Bard way before I go with Sorcerer or Fighter, but I believe in party mechanics and balance, so I'll fit in what's best that the rest of the players won't pick. My focus is more towards making a character interesting rather than effective as much as I can. In short, I'd likely play a Bard dancer, or a Healing-focused cleric. Goals: All of the above? I definitely have quite a deal to learn, and just want to have some fun. Having struggled with being a GM myself in the past has given me a near infinite source of patience for your kind, so I'm definitely willing to ride on the learning curve of a new GM. Time: I'm on EST, but I'll use your time for simplification. I'd prefer to play a bit later, around 8PM CST (or later!). My dinner time varies wildly, as I have dinner all together with the family, so to be safe, the later the better, but I should be able to fit in to the original time.
A friend of mine and I are interested. Experience: He's been DMing Pathfinder for about 2 years, I've been playing and substitute DMing for about 1 1/2 years. Character: He's looking to play as either a Fighter or Magus, I'm looking to be Fighter Goals: Have fun and help a new DM out. Time: Just wondering if it could at all be moved to Saturday. If not, that time works for us. One question. Is it Adventure Paths or an open world?
It is open world. I don't have the history for it down yet. Oh, and Saturday isn't a good day for me.
Experience: I've played a little Pathfinder before, when I lived in Florida. I played a sorcerer to about (I want to say) 6th or 7th lvl. What type of character do you like to play: Sorcerer is my preference. What are your goals: To have fun and to learn again, I barely remember how to create a character sheet. Time: Sunday at 6 seems good to me, though some times I eat dinner at my grandma's house around that time, but I would always give notice first.

Experience: I have played some pathfinder, a little 4e, and a dash of 5e. However, I have been roleplaying for five years now and consider myself an adept player. I strive to make characters that thrive as unique people, and have more than twenty original characters to my name in varying ages and settings. Type of Character: I like to play martial classes, but for this I am eager to play something from Dreamscarred Press - not a lot of DMs are willing to allow them. My first choice is a War Hulk Aegis of which I have a drafted character for, but I am willing to play what the party needs excluding prepared casters - I don't enjoy the way wizards are handled in PF. Much too hard to create an effective 'themed' character - and blasting is bad on them. I actually had one or two other character ideas besides just the War Hulk, so don't let him specifically shy you away. I'll play what the party needs. Goals: To enjoy myself in a new creative outlet, to expand upon the foundation of some of my characters, to meet new friends and to create memories that will hopefully last for years to come. Time: I have much free time at present so Sunday works just fine for me and will continue to do so for a long time yet. I can provide samples if requested. Cheers, Tim.
First off Hi! Thanks for taking the time to put something like this together. Experience: I have been playing Pen and paper on and off since D&D 2nd edition. Skipped 4e because we as a group didn't like the system. I have played in a few pathfinder games and 1 5e game. As for RPG's in general...I am a huge MMORPG player...I love the different aspects of the games and still love old school Shadowbane where you would build your character unique how you wanted instead of having to follow a path. What type of character do you like to play: I like to play pretty much anything but a healer. I even like support but healing just isn't my thing. I love to be the party face in situations and role playing sessions. What are your goals? Definitely to have fun but also to find a group that will stick together for a little bit. I don't know what level you are thinking about starting out at but i've found that 5th level to 15th are definitely the most fun. You have some unique abilities and can do a couple different things on your turn instead of just basically the same old action at early levels or game breaking actions at later levels.... Time: The Sunday time will work most of the times but 1 Sunday a month I have to work and won't be off until 8 pm. Other than that just let me know if you have any questions. Thanks Ken
hi im max and from your description it sounds like the perfect opportunity to play a good fun game. im open to most roles with rogue being my favourite. ive played a couple of pathfinder games but im still very new and need a lot of guidance through the game. my goals are to have fun, learn alot more of the game and if possible help and encourage you for your new gm capabilities. im free at the specified time and would be flexible if need be. thanks for the consideration.
* Experience: What's your history with P&PRPG's and RPG's? I have been playing RPGs for over twmumbleenty some years now. I started playing AD&D2nd long long ago. Over the years I have played a lot of different systems and would like to give Pathfinder a try. * What type of character do you like to play: Mage? Healer/supporter? Warrior? Something else? No Idea? Generally I like to fill a role that's not covered in a group to try to round things out. If I get first pick, I usually go for things like Fighters or Rogues. I was thinking in this case of being a fighter, rogue or cleric. * What are your goals? To have fun? To learn? To help a new GM out? My goals are always to have fun in a game and to try my best not to be the cause of stress for my GM/fellow players. I like to help GMs out (those who can do, those who can't help with prep). Time: If you can't do Sunday 6:00 PM CST, what time can you get by with? Sunday 6pm CST would be just fine for me actually. My Sundays are usually free and clear.
I have roughly 8 years experience in P&PRPG's and a few years of those are pathfinder. I tend to play damage or utility and branch into both. So either an Arcanist, a Sorcerer, or a Fighter. I make characters for fun so I likely have several that could work for the campaign at the moment. I would be more then happy to help out a new DM and would also be more then happy to do any other days then Sunday at pretty much any other time unless you were able to start about 1PMish. Sunday, for no reason, has become my Pathfinder day as I am a member of 2 campaigns that take one after another. One suggestion I will offer you is to use a preconstructed campaign for your first few sessions. The books tend to have open areas in them that you are able to branch out into your own thing. They also give materials, npc's, and a setting that has good backstory and a reason for adventure beyond "You're in the inn, the innkeeper mentions goblins." Once you reach a point you feel comfortable leaving the preconstructed campaign you still have material there to use as you see fit. Open worlds, as much as I like them, tend to have no direction beyond "Hey a thing". World building is hard. So having the world built for you so you can make changes as you see fit is far easier and can be just as rewarding.

Hi i would like to play. i currently play 2 rpg with friends, (Eclipse, and numenera). this would be mi first rpg on this site. i can play on sunday but then we would have end pretty early because of school and studies i would prefer Saturday, i can also play every other Friday. I want to join beacuse my current group only plays every other week and i want more. i don't know much about pathfinder but it sounds fun and i would love to try. My character: Name: Unknown Name he goes by: Flanker Class: Thief/Assassin/Archer Has Amnesia, so he can't remember anything from earlier than 2 years ago. He has a lot of old scars everywhere indicating a hard past. The earliest day he remembers he woke opp in the woods wounds all over, and his mouth sewn shut. He pulled himself together and treated his wounds. Removing the wire in his mouth was a painful process. (He always wears a bandana to hide His mouth) After walking for a while he got attacked by a unknown assailant. That's when he grabbed the bow he had on his back. that's when he learned he was skilled with it, but he got disarmed during the fight and resorted to using hi daggers instead. Since my character has amnesia, enemies from my characters past at can jump out at some random point in the adventure. Also my character can,t seem to leave a man behind he learned this when teaming up with an other bounty hunter who got wounded and could not walk. He almost lost his life carrying the other bounty hunter out of there. (NO MAN LEFT BEHIND) He cant seem to to it no matter what.
I am very interested.
I have 11 years of experience I like to play lizardfolk sorcerer

Experience: What's your history with P&PRPG's and RPG's? Honestly I'm pretty damn new to almost all table top games and have only really become interested in recent months but I have played a face to face session of D&D 4e that will be continuing a while and have played three sessions of D&D 5e here on Roll20. I get most the basics for these pretty easily but I'm at a loss for the detailed stuff. I'm probably about as Greenhorn as it gets but I'm willing to figure things out. What type of character do you like to play: Mage? Healer/supporter? Warrior? Something else? No Idea? I tend to favor Warrior type classes or classes like Paladins and such. I can play about anything but I find myself more comfortable with protective or support roles. I suppose 'No Idea' is a fair start for this as I don't know the classes. What are your goals? To have fun? To learn? To help a new GM out? I'm interested in this particular setup for fun and to learn. I'd like to have fun during sessions and learn so I can improve outside of them. Sort of a short term, long term thing. Time: If you can't do Sunday 6:00 PM CST, what time can you get by with? I can probably do Sundays but being in EST I may be a hour or two ahead at least. I'd like to ask if scheduling can be done with UTC but if not I understand.
hello im pretty new at dnd and was looking for people that might want to start a dnd campaign tonight just a small group

Experience: Been playing DnD since I was 6 Original up into Pathfinder, DMing almost as long. Not familiar with roll20. Very familiar with Dreamscarred Psionics and Path of War. Character Preference: Support / Heals(Vitalist) / Non-tank damage dealer generally, anything really if vital role needs to be filled. Goals: Have fun, can help with rules knowledge if asked(otherwise I will keep my trap shut). Time: Sunday is good for me so are most other evenings besides Tuesday. Would probably be playing a Harbinger that I have had in my head since Harbinger came out for Expanded Path of War everything else being equal.
For those that want to plan ahead and know how to make a character or just want to know what we'll be doing, we'll be doing 20 point buy and we'll be starting off at level 1. Also for how much gold you start off with, roll for it based on what class you pick.
Gonna rescind my earlier post. Not because your campaign doesn't look interesting, but because I've already managed to get invited to several ongoing campaigns. Best of luck to you!
So, I took a look at the Nightblade class and other stuff from the Path of Shadows book and I have decided that I will allow content from that book to be used in my campaign.
HIiiii! I'm interested in this. I work part time as of right now and Saturdays should be good, for me personally 6 is early as I MIGHT work, but I don't have a set sechedule so i'll just have to try to make it work. I have pretty much no experience but I really wanna try to get into this as it seems appealing (yet kinda overwhelming) to me. I have Skype so that's easiest. I'm looking forward to potentially gaming with you guys. :)
Ok, I've decided that I'll pick who's playing Saturday, so this is the last chance anyone has to sign up.
Experience: What's your history with P&PRPG's and RPG's? I've been playing various TTRPGs for about twelve years, spanning quite a large collection of systems. I've been both GM and player, and done everything from your classic door-kickers to investigative horror to courtly social games. I have a strong knowledge of Pathfinder, and it is my preferred version of DnD. What type of character do you like to play: Mage? Healer/supporter? Warrior? Something else? No Idea? When it comes to DnD, I've run the gamut, but tend to lean towards martial characters. That said, I'm more likely to pick a character based on narrative inspiration than 'role'. What are your goals? To have fun? To learn? To help a new GM out? Above all things, I serve the plot. My characters all tend to have a strong motivation and I do my best to mesh those motivations with the core arc of the game. Gun to my head, I'd say if I needed to pick a 'personal goal', it's to experience a full character arc and explore my character as much as possible. Time: If you can't do Sunday 6:00 PM CST, what time can you get by with? Sunday evenings are perfectly fine for me.
I've been lurking here for a while, and I hope I'm not too late for this! This is exactly the type of game I've been looking to find. Experience: What's your history with P&PRPG's and RPG's? I've been playing TTRPGs since the early 90's and I am in my early-30's and have skype, a working mic, etc. I'm an easy-going guy and usually the jokester of the group. What type of character do you like to play: Mage? Healer/supporter? Warrior? Something else? No Idea? I prefer to play martial characters (swashbuckler.slayer, ranger, rogue being my wheelhouse), but wouldn't mind trying another class out like Hunter or Summoner. I never play full casters, as they're just not my bag. What are your goals? To have fun? To learn? To help a new GM out? To play in an immersive game with friendly, helpful, and fun individuals like myself. I like a relative balance of narrative, role-play, and combat. Time: If you can't do Sunday 6:00 PM CST, what time can you get by with? Sunday nights are perfect as that would be the night I am most available, but would be flexible on the night on a weekly basis if required (once football season starts, Sundays might be a tad busier). I look forward to seeing your decision and will try to check back often over the next few days. Thanks for the consideration!

Experience: What's your history with P&PRPG's and RPG's? I started playing with AD&D, then D&D 2, D&D 3.0, D&D 3.5., and Pathfinder. All played in Table Top games, once I started in 3.5 I split my time playing and GMing, and since I started on Pathfinder (when that abomination of D&D 4th came out) I have mostly GMed. I have also played on a Persistant world server for NWN (City of Arabel) since it started.. I registered on the forums there back in 2003. That server is a Full PvP RP enforced server. I highly suggest people check it out if they are into that sort of thing. tl:dr I have roughly 27 years of experience both as a player and as a GM. What type of character do you like to play: Mage? Healer/supporter? Warrior? Something else? No Idea? I have played just about every character concept you can imagine so I am willing to play anything to help round the party out, barring that I am sure I can come up with something interesting. What are your goals? To have fun? To learn? To help a new GM out? My personal goals? To have a good time and always to help new players and GMs alike get used to the game. Your time is fine with me, the only issue I have is why must I use a 3rd party voice chat when Roll20 has a perfectly fine working one? If you Insist on making me download a voice chat app I'll just go somewhere else and help another group learn. I'd like to offer my vast experience with the game if I could but everyone draws the line somewhere and mine is at "why use a 3rd party anything when Video/Voice/Text works perfectly fine on the Roll20 site". There you go, take it or leave it. Either way I hope your group has a fantastic time.
