Cant join Game

okay, so this is the first time I've had this issue in the very long time I've used the site. I've looked around in the forums and maybe i missed it, but i seem to be having a unique problem. I've already gone through all the troubleshooting steps as well. But, every time I try to launch my campaign, it loads in, i hear a chat beep, and then the page refreshes, and it does this constantly. As soon as i load the current map, it restarts the page. I've tried making a copy of the game, and that crashes too. I've done everything from a different device to restarting my computer. All of my players can join the game, but I cannot. I even tried joining as player, and still no luck. Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?

Also to be noted i can join other games, and even launch other games, so it appears to be campaign specific. Ive also just tried another alt account that i have, and that kicks me as well.

There seems to be a rash of that going around. Can you please follow Steps 1-3 of our Solving Technical Issues wiki page, taking special care to temporarily disable all browser add-ons and extensions, temporarily pause your anti-virus, and try switching browsers (for Chrome/Firefox specific issues) to see if one of those components is causing the problem. If all of that fails, please follow Step 4 , including providing all of the necessary information, so that we can further assist you. Additionally, what country are you located in? (There were some issues with Canadian ISPs last night, and UK ISPs this morning.) Be sure to post the console log for what happens when you are trying to load the campaign.

I'm located in United states specifically California. -Google Chrome -Version Version 39.0.2171.95 m -Win 7 -Java enabled -Norton (I disabled this when testing the game) -Addons are add block, Google docs and APNG screenshot from the logs here had to take a screenshot because the log resets so rapidly its hard to copy all the text normally

Hmm. So when it finishes, the console is cleared? That's odd. There's a check box at the top that says "Preserve Log". If you open the console right before clicking Join Game and turn that on, it will persist the log across redirects and capture all of it. Do you mind giving that a try and posting back with the text of the log?

Heres what it looks like after it loops once. Preserve the log worked for the first set of script, but I noticed it looped so I tried to get it after only the first repeat.

Ryan, Does disabling your addons and temporatily disabling your anti-virus change the problem at all?
No change, anti virus is completely down, same with the addons, i completely killed all antivirus processes, and disable firewalls on my router to be safe. To be noted, i am able to play other peoples games, and i can launch all of my other campaigns but this particular one.

No, i just had my players join, even promoted one of them to gm just to see if any issues would arise, from what they tell me it functions normally. So just me.

There is still some JS I'm seeing in your console log that isn't our being loaded in, maybe spyware or malware. You could make a copy of the campaign and see if the copy works. If that doesn't fix it, send me a link to the campaign. It's unlikely but I'll look under the hood and see if something got damaged, but just for you.

Good point Steve. Digging about, it seems like you might have the Page2Ad malware. I've had a lot of luck removing similar by following the Malware Tips' guide: <a href="http://malwaretips.com/blogs/malware-removal-guide-for-windows/" rel="nofollow">http://malwaretips.com/blogs/malware-removal-guide-for-windows/</a>
I made a copy of the game, it didn't work either. Did a couple of scans on my computer, no malware or spyware was found (used the guide). Strangely enough, I deleted the copy and joined the original game and now it works today just fine...I don't know what to say, I've been having this trouble for a about 4 days, and now that nothing has changed it suddenly works. I'm so confused. I've sent a private message anyway with the link details, i feel like this issue will come up again. However, when I did make a copy of the game I had error messages all over the chat that looked like this.

Ryan the game seems fine. I'm going to guess the original campaign was older, before we required all rolls to be authenticated and so their copies don't have proper authentication and are failing. I wouldn't worry about it. I'm glad your original is working now. If I had to guess I'd say your scans probably fixed it, even if it looked like it didn't find anything. If the problem pops up again, let us know and we'll look again.
