Some of the features in the recent update are ter... (Edit: Overreacted)

(Edit: Sorry I kind of overreacted! I had a big game right after this update and a lot of the bugs were incredibly frustrating. I love this site and am happy with the updates and progress.) I would submit to Bugs, but you guys know what the bugs are and I'm here to complain about features that were intentionally added. The centered resize is plain awful. It makes it hard to judge exactly how big a token is, and fitting maps into the grid side is nearly impossible now. Centered resize should be an option, not a default. No other program on earth uses centered resize as a default because it's terrible for all but a few specific scenarios. Why is ping so massive, and why isn't that just an option? It's ridiculous, this doesn't help find what someone's pointing at at all. Plus I can't see my player's pings but that's just a bug, riiiiight? I have no idea if the mouseover on turnorder to highlight tokens was intentionally removed, but that was a great feature and I'm struggling to work with multiple tokens of the same image without it.
I agree the turn order highlight option was really good and I would like to see that return. I also have issues with the map re-sizing centered as some of my maps are large and I can not tell what part is inside and what part is not.
Its almost as if the Roll20 team took the idea of being better than other tabletop programs as an insult and rampantly butchered their code and features to compete. I like Roll20 so far, but the GM tools are embarrassingly difficult to use at times.

Hi David, A lot of features have been given a considerable shake up due to the switch over to the new render engine. If a feature is missing, it's either been intentionally deactivated for the time being while we can get the new system stabilized or it's a bug. If something appears missing or not working, check the bug reports to see if someone's already addressed it. If not, please fill out a bug report. This is the first time I've seen any mention of a problem with pinging for instance. There also isn't a bug report for problems regarding the turn tracker either.(Update 2: the turn tracker should be fixed now) Features that have been altered on purpose: - The "tile" feature (orange handle) is temporarily disabled. - Holding shift while drawing with the brush tool does not currently draw lines snapped to the grid. - Notifications only appear on the main Roll20 site, not on the Marketplace. - There are currently no animations when someone else moves an object -- the object just updates to the new size/location, but doesn't do so smoothly like it did before. The only way we know that something's bugging out is if folks make bug reports. Otherwise, we're assuming that features are working per usual. We apologize for the trouble that this change over is causing for you all and we're doing our best to hammer things down that have gone awry. As for the scaling from the left hand corner. Riley mentioned in the update thread: We're considering adding it back in, but to be honest the new rendering engine is all center-position based instead of top-left based (in terms of positioning, coordinates, etc.) so it's not as easy as just saying "let's flip that switch back on" :-) So it's a going to take some work to get that functionality back. There's unfortunately not a hotfix for it. Thank you everyone for riding this out with us. Again, if something's acting squirrely, please keep your bug reports coming!

Hi Rob, Due to the nature of Roll20 still being in beta, there's definitely a lot of features that are not completed yet. This forum specifically is to suggest functionality and how the developers should approach tools you need to GM. The new render engine was needed to increase multi-platform functionality, quicker performance, and improved resource management. The downside of moving from one system to the next is that a lot of stuff got jostled in transit. If something's off, give us feedback.
another problem currently is i cannot copy a group of characters from one page to the other anymore. copying each character with their status one at a time is incredibly difficult and annoying

I would ask that people please not post bugs in this thread. Make a new thread for your particular bug in the Bug Reports forum. This'll increase your chances of the rest of team seeing it and not getting lost. Thanks!
David, I get what you are saying about the ping, but I don't mind it being that big as it catches the eye. I do wish it had a center dot, so players/gm's could see the center.
I agree the turn order highlight option was really good and I would like to see that return. It's fixed now!
