LFG for fellow 25+ adult pathfinder players for a long term group to run through some AP's.

Hi my name is Kev. I'm 34 and am looking for a group of like-minded people that are preferably around my age group (25+) to play some Pathfinder AP's here on roll20. I've played pathfinder for years and rpg's my whole life. I care not about the day/time as long as it is something in the afternoon so no matter what job changes or anything like that happens that the group can find a way to stay together. I'd love to find a group that would like to start at the first Adventure Path and just run the whole lot of them switching characters as we go. If you feel like you would like to do something like this with me or have a spot in your group already please reply or send me a private message and we can hopefully get something going. I suck at being a DM but if one is really needed I might be able to figure out DM'ing in roll20 and run the show. Shown Interest so far via PM or in this thread: Name/Schedule John D - /- Wide Open Schedule Kenneth - /- ? Randy L - / - Friday? Don H - / - Friday - 7-? Kyle H - /- Sunday but flexible Shawn B- / - ? James G - / - ? Ben T - / - Rik - / - anytime after 7pm Fri/Sat w/ more summer avail.
I might be down, what timezone?
I'm on Eastern time but don't let that stop us from finding a group and working out a time. I'm flexible.
Most of us aren't as flexible as you appear to be Kev. It sounds exciting and interesting to me if it's something we could do on Friday evenings, EST...maybe a 7pm until we pass out kind of thing? (like 1 or 2 am?)
im down
Don what you mentioned is exactly how me and my Brother used to do RPG's and I would love to do that again. I'm actually trying to get him to join us but 4 kids eat up his time rather fast. So what days/times works for the rest of you guys? Look current and down the road so we can get something longterm going.
Fridays might work for me for most weeks.
I've been lurking here for a while, and this is exactly the type of game I'm looking to find. I would prefer Sunday nights as that would be the night I am most available, but would be flexible on the night on a weekly basis if required (once football season starts, Sundays might be a tad busier). I've been playing TTRPGs since the early 90's and prefer to play martial characters (swashbuckler.slayer, ranger, rogue being my wheelhouse). I am in my early-30's and have skype, a working mic, etc. I'm an easy-going guy and usually the jokester of the group. If we're getting into what APs we'd be interested in playing, I have extreme interest in playing Second Darkness, Rise of the Runelords, and Giantslayer. If we're going outside of the PFRPG APs, I'd love to try Throne of Night, or any of the older 3.5 APs: Shackled City, Age of Worms, or Savage Tide. I look forward to getting something together and playing with all of you.
Thanks for replying guys. I'm going to be updating this with a list of names/times soon and then if we have enough people we can get a bigger discussion going on skype or wherever. Right now we are in the recruiting phase so feel free to tell friends and such. Hell if we form 2 groups that is fine by me. Also if anyone has any interest in DM or Co-DM'ing please let me know as this would be my first time running a game on roll20.
Looks like Fridays around 7pm-? is the front runner right now but this is up for discussion still. Names of people who have contacted me are in the OP. I would like to use skype for audio if that is ok for everyone. Name of skype is BigKevGaming if you want to add me. We can create a group chat and talk about this. If people want to stream this or record it I'm perfectly fine with that but know others may not be so please state if you plan to. Like I said in the post before this I am still recruiting interested people and if you have someone else in the same situation as we are that would like to join please let me know. Also if anyone wants to GM or has been thinking about it let me know. I'm going to start looking into how to get adventure path pdf's as jpg's and then look to getting them into roll 20. Speaking of Adventure paths I have the following and the plan is to do them in order (unless we all agree to skip): PF 1-6 Rise of the Rune Lords Anniversary Edition (I have regular as well but heard this is better) PF 7-12 Curse of the Crimson Throne PF 13-18 Second Darkness PF 19-24 Legacy of Fire PF 25-30 Council of Thieves PF 31-36 KingMaker PF 37-42 Serpent's Skull PF 43-48 Carrion Crown PF 49-54 Jade Regent PF 55-60 Skull & Shackles PF 61-66 Shattered Star PF 67-72 Reign of Winter PF 73-78 Wrath of Righteous Any questions please contact me on skype or in here.
i am interested.. im 26 with a open schedule untill my jub strats back up witch i think will be fridays being my best day.. im gonna call myself a beginner .. i have roleplayed in the past but its always been groups that never really meet up.. the only thing i got going on now is a pathfinder game on Saturdays .. iv played D&D.. pathfinder .. shadowrun.. WoD.. ect.. just kinda rusty.. i just made a character in the pathfinder game tonight for the first time in 3 or so years .. and thats how i found out about roll20 as well .. but anyway let me know if i would be able to join.. thank you
I would like to join you guys if you still have any available spots
Shawn and James welcome. What time would you guys be available to play?
I am very interested in joining. I am 35, and have been playing pathfinder for a few years but I have never been able to get in on an AP. I am free Friday and Saturday nights after 7pm EST. With the summer coming up, I am free most nights after 7:00 in a few weeks.
If you are still looking for people, I'd be interested in playing. I have never DM'd before, so ideally I'd like to be a player, but if no one else wanted/willing to do, I guess I could try my hand at it, though I am not sure how well I'd do. I am 25, and have experience playing pathfinder mainly, but have never done any of the APs so that would be pretty fun I think. As far as schedule, what time zone are you working with as far as those times? I'm in PST, and have to be to work around 11pm, but other then that anytime in the afternoon/evening is perfect for me.
Welcome Ben and RIk. Time zone for me is eastern so if we started at 7 or 8 EST it would be 4-5 for you and most of the sessions would be around 3-4hr content if that still works for you. Sorry for the delay in getting this all started folks. I'm new to Dm'ing on roll 20 with AP's and while I have the PDF's I do not have the interactive ones so I'm trying to figure out how to get the map number codes off of the maps so I can import them in. If anyone has any ideas or experience on this please let me know. Also most AP's are designed for 3-4 players so at this point we may need a second DM and thus the possibility of having a different day/play time if people are interested. More info soon.
Thanks for the update Kev. Looking forward to this. Do we want to try to set up a preliminary Skype meet n greet sometime soon? That way we can see if who all is gelling together. Just a thought.
Another thought: You might want to approach the APs a different way since running them all in succession would require 10+ years and I'm pretty sure 0.0% of the people on these boards can reliably commit to dedicating that much time to this endeavor. Real life happens after all. Maybe after we all decide on who is a good fit we can have a vote on which APs interest us the most and go from there. I stated which ones I am interested in playing in my original post, but am more than up for discussing things further.
Those times work well for me.
I am good msot sundays and tuesdays as well
You are right that I have been a little short sighted in looking at this project. In the last few days I have truly come to realize what all is in the AP's and how in depth they all are. On that same note I have spent hours trying to get the maps to work and to that end I do not think I can DM this as it just takes up too much of my time to get anything ready (lack of skills/software I guess). If anyone wants to head up this group of willing people then by all means take the lead of run with it. If not then thank you all for your time.
