SyntaxError with attack rolls on characters in D&D 5e

Hey guys, I think I did something wrong because I get the following error when I set up my weapons for my NPCs: SyntaxError: Expected "(", ".", "[", "abs(", "ceil(", "d", "floor(", "round(", "t", "{", [ |\t], [+|\-] or [0-9] but end of input found. I put in the following information: Item Name damage dice (1d6) Damage Type (slashing) Not sure why it's not working, even the set ups in my old campaign are not working and we were just using those a month ago.

When you say NPCs, are you using the NPC character sheet portion of the 5e Sheet, or the Player sheet with all the different tabs? If you're using the player sheet and entering weapons on the Weapons tab, be sure the Crit Dmg field is filled in. When nested inline rolls were released, a side effect was [[ ]] as an inline dice expression is not an error. Leaving that field empty causes [[ ]] to be sent to the roll template, causing that exact error message.

This post and the other 20 like it are the reason I've removed integrated crit damage on the new weapons on the 5e shaped sheet. :P
