I'm going to be making some maps to use for random encounter in my games, mostly roads and paths and places the players will be traveling. Anyone have any general-ish requests? http://postimg.org/image/f4ckeozll/

So, there are definitely some Beaches and oceanside maps already made (in the Art search and on-sale from Marketplace). If you like this idea though... I would like a nice ocean > beach > up at the top of the beach you see 1 or 2 or 3 cave mouths in the face of a seaside-cliff. The entrance to some sea caves. The cliff would rise up forming the top-border of the map. If possible you could have 1 sea cave accessible by water (float a boat straight into the cave), and 1-2 cave mouths would be on shore, on the cliff. Conceivably all the caves could be accessed by water at High Tide, and perhaps all would be dry at Low Tide. There could even be 2 maps, one for high tide (water goes up to the cliff itself and floods into the cave entrances), one for low tide (has more sand between the caves and the water). Just one idea. Happy map making day Jeff!

I'd really like to see a long rope bridge spanning over a river valley, kind of like in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. With damaged/removable bridge, of course! Alligators optional. I was also thinking of an, "Elemental Plane of Fire," kind of place, where the ground is tracked with veins of magma lighting the cracks from underneath. Too ambitious?
An arcane prison.
I can't think of anything better to shout about, and don't have a specific want right now, so... As you seem to going for the party-on-a-path encounters; Having the paths be movable is always great; then it can be easily swapped about to create a no-path map for when your party venture off-road. Possibly with movable/removable small ruins/wayshrines/other landmarks. Extra "wax on, wax off" objects are sweet for making each map feel like its own - Despite the fact that when you boil it down behind the scenes, the DM is actually making a re-hash of a previously used map.

Bo said: Extra "wax on, wax off" objects are sweet for making each map feel like its own I usually do make my maps out of lots of different conponents, but right now what I was doing was just constructing maps that were complete enough to work totally on there own without any effort, but simple enough that they could be modified or added to or whatever.
Houses with toggleable roofs.

I did some more https://mega.co.nz/#F!2ENH3bRB!D8-8xyjZoP5QXhluP_aVhQ Meldebious(Casey) said: Houses with toggleable roofs. I'm just working with with image files, you know. Also, while I have done seperate images for tops and outsides of building, I find it's often not worth the effort. Unless you're trying to hide something inside buildings or there's a reason something important would end up on a roof it can just kind of be a pain.

Ahh I see. Well in that case, seeing as I've opened my mouth, I might as well throw down a simple map idea for you; An Ancient, Cultist, or Druidic Stonehenge
Underdark caverns map or maybe a drow city.
