Tile cards

I would like to suggest having a deck of cards that could be played as tiles to the map layer.  I've heard of several games that use a mechanic like this, and have an idea for a game I'd like to test that requires a tile deck for a map.  It would essentially allow players to draw from the same limited deck, and place map tiles to fit as they "explore." With the current set up, the only workaround I can think of is to create a deck with corresponding numbers to the tiles, then place them myself as the DM, and allow the players to adjust from there. Aside from being a huge time saver for that clunky work around, the system could also have the option to color the frame of the player who played the card if the game required keeping track of something like that.

The players could take a tile card and position it where it needs to be on the board. If you want to force it to the map layer, the GM just needs to select the card and hit Ctrl+M to move it to the map layer.
For some reason, I didn't even think to try just placing the tiles in their current size as a normal deck of cards. I just assumed that cards had to take normal card shape. Thank you for enlightening me on this possibility! I was also going to suggest letting you force the size of the card on the table when played...but on further investigation, you've already taken care of that too. Thank you.

Welcome! We've made a lot of recent changes to the card deck feature in the past month or two, so it's easy to lose track of what's available. Just make sure that all the tile images and the card back image use the same dimensions, otherwise things will get buggy.
