Looking to find a long-term D&D 4e group that plays once a week. I would like to find a game that starts around 9-9:30PM EST and ends around 12-1AM EST. I'm currently available most nights of the week, but Mondays would probably be best.
I've been in several groups on and off since 4e's launch, but haven't really been able to find a stable group. I'd like to start in low-level Heroic(1st level is fine). I don't have much experience using Roll20, but have used other virtual tables in the past. I have a mic so voice isn't a problem, but text-based chat is fine as well.
I prefer homebrew worlds or general/PoL-based setting since I do not know much about FR or Ebberon, but I am open to either. Also, I like games with either no or minimal restrictions on races/classes (haven't played since the Pixie was released, but have heard it's easy to abuse... I could understand in that case) with regards to official, published material. I like to play Hybrid or offbeat but effective characters, and bans can kill a character concept mechanically. That said, I like to play "optimized" characters in the sense that they are effective in combat, but not to the point that I make every decision based on whatever is given the best rating on the CharOp boards.
I would also prefer a game that has at least some story to it. I wouldn't mind roleplaying or going over things on a message board/chat in between sessions. Not mandatory, but could add a little fun.
