RISK Board game, Test game (NOW)

Hi guys, Im not sure if this will work, but i set up a game forum almost 20 mins ago and its still not being displayed, im assuming games must be authorised before they are shown. anyway.. Hi Keith! Just so you know... It appears you have set up a Campaign and made it publicly accessible. Therefore you are able to give out the Campaign Details link, as above, and people can view your link. On that page we can see: any Journals that are set to "All Players", and we can see your campaign basic description, campaign avatar pic, and we can SEE your campaign forum but cannot type in it. If you want to invite players, the best recommendation is go to the top of your campaign page and ENABLE "Looking For Group". Then give out the LFG link instead of the Details link. This will allow people to post applications in your LFG forum without touching your Campaign forum, and you the GM will get an "Invite To Campaign" button for each applicant, so you can quickly let them into the game if you want. The way you did it is also fine. People can reply in this thread, then you can PM the join-link to the winning applicants. But I just wanted to let you know that people cannot write in the campaign Forum that you created so far, until you invite them into the game, and if you want them to be able to reply in your forum then make an LFG.

Hi Gold, This was done about 1 and a half hours ago.. The campaign/page is live on the LFG, but is not showing up, im assuming that someone needs to authorise teh games before they show up.. its now been about 90 minutes since the game was activated in teh LFG listings. anyone is welcome for the moment to just post in this forum, if they want to join and i will manually invite.

True, keith, we usually say that "the LFG can take up to 2 hours to appear". It does not need to be manually authorized, but the index refreshes and adds the newest listings periodically.

i dont see why.. it should be almost intant.. lol it would be a lot easier for on the fly games
