"have 4 players, LF DM"

Lately i've been seeing almost as many "LF DM" Posts in the LFG forums than i've seen actual groups looking for people, or single people looking for groups. This seems to be a new idea that people have, that because there's not enough DMs, they should make their own group and try to get a DM to come to them. To me, this kind of seems like bad form; most of us are more than aware of the fact that there are many, many more players than DMs, and for the months i've been on this site it has always been "DM creates a game -> players join" . Am i the only who thinks at the very least this is a little bit backwards and weird?

This comes up every so often with varying degrees of angst from the poster. It is certainly less common than the traditional LFG posts made by a GM or singleton player, but not unheard of, and certainly not verboten.
I just feel like it's players making it harder on players, but making it easier for GM's. I don't know, i guess everything has it's down and up sides.
There are many problems with pre-made groups looking for GMs, one of which is the player's and the GM's own ideas of what they want to play/host. This is not true for bought/pre-made scenarios but often times GMs have their own imagination and story inside their heads and gather willing players to play it out. Doing the opposite would be requesting GMs on-demand and having them suit the players as opposed to the standard of players suiting the GM. In my opinion it just lowers the chances of finding a GM at all if you wait instead of going and posting in games that GMs have an open application for.
