Hi! I've been playing 3.5e since March and I'm looking for a 2nd group to join in order to play my Complete Adventurer Ninja character I recently designed. My current group runs Saturday nights, and I play a Ranger in that. The only way I would be able to play my Ninja is if I killed off my Ranger, and that's not really something I'd like to do. With this character, I plan on veering from the stereotypical Ninja archetypes and am opting for a social infiltrator approach. This won't be an oriential bad-ass, but rather a person who integrates into a social environment, gets what they want, and slips out unnoticed. For assassinations, they'll go for subtle poisons rather than a backstab, but wouldn't be afraid to get their hands dirty should the situation call for it. They'll be of a CN alignment, but only because they focus on advancing themselves in life. They won't be an asshole for the sake of being an asshole, stealing shit left and right. They won't screw teammates over to gain a short term advantage, since it'll screw them self in the long run. However, every decision is based on the question "will this further MY goals?" I also won't be the brooding, stoic quiet type who sits in the corner and is all mysterious and etc. I'll get the character involved with the other players and will frequently use my bluff and disguise skills for any opportunity that calls for it. There's a lot more to the character's backstory, but it's stuff that I only want to reveal to the DM. It should provide some fun plot hooks for the DM though, and could lead to a very interesting campaign should these paths be explored. I've gotten feedback from quite a few friends and they all seem to love what I've developed. If you would like to see the backstory I wrote, let me know and I'll find some way to send it to you via a PM or Skype or something. I'm open to tweaking the finer details to fit the mood of the campaign. I'm in the EST time zone and work a fulltime job, so I can only do weekday sessions if they are after 6PM. Any day but Saturday is game. I also can't do sessions that are too late since I will have work the following morning. I can probably be up till midnight at the latest.
