You have to copy/extend the campaign and not include the chat log. That is the only way to clear out the log at this time. What you are doing is cloning the campaign and you will have to make sure your players are transferred to it. I forget if you can include them in the clone or you have to re-invite them. You then can delete your old campaign once the group is in the new campaign.
