Looking for a RP group of like minded gamers!?!

I am not new to playing and GMing RPG and though I am still quite new to Roll20 I'd really like to get a solid gaming group together of 4-5 like minded gamers to play either weekly or every other week as our real life schedules dictate; after all this is just a hobby. That being said what am I looking for in said group in no particular order... Mature players (18+) Immersive world building where players and GM are part of developing and impact the bigger world they live in. Gamer's willing to role play their characters, i.e. acting as the character would react not the player; no voice acting needed but it wouldn't be discouraged. Supportive game play that fosters learning for everyone. Willingness of everyone to take the helm as GM. Maybe While I feel rules are important I think they should be flexible enough to manage the game system while still guiding play and give everyone opportunity to role play as the story moves forward. No rule lawyers or meta-gamers need apply. No power builds or class stacking. While combat is a part of most RPG it shouldn't be the only thing players do. I'm interested in playing some DnD 5 ed, dungeon world, WHFRP and willing to try other systems as well. Comments and questions are encouraged as well as an interest. Thanks!
I know you've stated that you'd like to learn D&D 5th, but I personally feel you'd like Fate Accelerated or Fate Core, it's practically designed for what you want; heck, one of the major aspects of it is that the group BUILDS a world together including: scope, threat, and NPCs. Nevertheless I wish you luck in your advertisement.
Thanks. Never played fated but always open to other systems. One of the reasons I liked DW so much was the openness of play and focus on storytelling.
I would be interested to join your group, been looking around here for awhile for a game or group to get in with. I'm fairly experienced with rpg 3.5, pathfinder, dice less marvel system, and most of the oWOD line. A few more that I've collected but never played 40k, eclipse phase, exalted, aberrant. Let me know what you think.
Though I have been experienced only with the Pathfinder System, the DM's Guide from 5e had helped me the most when it came to creating a GM style and Worldbuilding. I also have an array of roleplaying experience that I would be able to provide, along with a few suggestive character themes. If you are interested in allowing me to assist you, feel free to ask any questions.

I would be interested to join your group as well. I have played a few sessions of 5e since most of my campaigns have been Pathfinder at this point. If you have some room in your party let me know please.
I would love to join I have played many systems over my years of gaming and just recently took up the GM mantle, running some Savage Worlds games. Really interested in a group of rotating games and DMs to get to try lots of different things.
Howdy. I'm new to Roll20 as well but have been playing D&D 5E since release and also have a little experience with Pathfinder. I'm 33, mostly mature, but sometimes goofy. I haven't played a game that really involved roleplaying, but I'm open to learn that. I enjoy being a team player with alot of utility. Availability varies but I'm usually around Mon-Wed 6-12 and randomly on the weekends. Let me know if you need any other info or anything!
Hello Lionel, Much like you I'm an old school gamer and gm. I started back in 1982 with red box basic Dungeons and Dragons and have never looked back. Anyway this game seems like something I'd be very interested in. While I haven't played 5th edition I am willing to learn if the story is solid and the role playing is there, I prefer the games I play in to be about 50/50 combat to role playing ratio. I'd rather feel like a character in a story instead of a set of stats in an endless board game of combat. And conversely I'm not interested in having a purely role playing experience because that gets dull as well. I don't have a problem helping with world-building or even taking a turn GMinig from time to time but you'll have to be patient as I don't quite have the hang of using this websites tools, yet. It's not a terribly intuitive interface but I'm sure there is some method for figuring out. So if you're interested please feel free to drop me a PM and we can take it from there. Thanks for your time --Mike

Hey everyone thanks for the interest and comments. As my original post stated I'm looking to establish a group and once this happens we can talk about game times, days, system we are going up play and rotation of GM's as a group. If you are mature, use of humor in no way exudes you from maturity , willing to rp your character - to me combat is just one more opportunity to rp, are patient and open to learning and playing together for the long haul a across multiple games then this will most likely be the group for you. Just to clarify you don't have to have a lot of experience just a willingness to learn and HAVE FUN playing some great games. I'm new to Roll20 and online RP myself; so expect a lot of in the moment learning too. I knew I forgot something are folks willing and able to skype?
I am free to Skype most any time as I have it on my phone.
This sounds like what I want out of games as well. I am interested.
Okay so I sent some PM out to folks with my skype information. I'll be sending group invites shortly.
I would just like to give a piece of advice. I have started groups like this in the past and have had much better luck with them than other games on roll20, but one critical thing is to try to figure out a time before any thing else. If you fail to do that you will find that you get a group of 5 players and 3 of them don't have your schedule and the group fails and you back to square one. Save yourself a lot of effort and pick a time and work from there. Note I'm not applying just wanted to give that advice.
Thanks Niall! Just building a group interest and before any game play will happen these and other things will be ironed out as a group rather than in the open forum chat. Again thanks.
i am big into RPing if you still have room i am down
Invites sent out. If you think I missed you just send me a PM.
It appears I may have not noticed this post quite in time. If all the seats are indeed reserved, I would then have to agree with what Nosferatu said about getting more groups together. If you do have any openings though, don't be afraid to send me a PM. I would really like to find my place with a good group, where everybody is equally invested in the game. In the meantime, you have a pleasant day!
