As a child, she would sneak off into the woods even when her mother advised against it, intrigued by the woods and the various animals that lived within. Her father and brother, noticing Nala's love for the forest, began to teach her how to hunt and distinguish edible plants/berries from poisonous ones. When she grew old enough to sustain herself, Nala moved out of her childhood home and lived in the forest alone, preferring the quietness and peace of nature. However, she would visit her family from time to time, bringing back trophies of animals she has hunted (mostly giants). One night, while she was sleeping, a group of bandits and cultists ransacked her camp and stole all her belongings. Left without money, tools, and basic necessities, Nala began to walk back only to find her hometown burned to a crisp, her father, mother, and brother all missing. Now she is exploring the land, passing through towns, villages, and cities, in search of her family.
