LFP: Stars Without Number, Saturdays 9:30 PM EST (GMT -5) once or twice a month. Newbies welcome.

Hi, I'm a 39 year old GM who's run quite a few games over the years. However, I've only recently come across Stars Without Number. I have a friend in Japan and we've decided to get a game going and try it out. We're planning on playing Saturday nights from 9:30 PM EST (when I get home from work) for sessions lasting 2-4 hours, once or twice a month. We have time yet as I'll not likely start it until the 13th of June to give everyone, myself included, time to get familiar with the rules and get character creation done. We play using Skype for audio, but video is not needed. The basic premise of the game is this: the PCs start as inmates on a penal world. Maybe they were innocent, maybe they weren't. They navigate the deadly environment of the prison world until they find a way off world. The game then proceeds with the PCs on the run, taking whatever jobs they can to survive and keep ahead of bounty hunters and the law. Note that while the characters may be criminals and can certainly be ruthless, I'm not interested in sociopath characters in the game. The PCs will be expected to have some sort of code. My games tend to be fairly Humanocentric, so characters will be Human, though cybernetics and psionics are certainly part of the setting. I'm looking to run a game with 3-4 players, meaning I have two or three slots open. I'm happy to have other players that have never played Stars Without Number in the group. I figure we can learn the game together. Obviously, if you have experience with SWN and would like to join, you are welcome, and your help will be appreciated. Thanks for your consideration.
Hello, I'd be interested in joining your campaign. I have no experience with Star Without Number but have played other roleplaying game before. You choice of not allowing sociopathic characters is a good one, they can make things tedious in my opinion. Not sure if I'll be available on the 13th however due to a possible weekend trip but generally saturday nights are no problem for me. Let me know if you want to ask me anything or need any information, I can provide my skype.

I would try to play in this if I wasn't running a Saturday game. Funny thing, though, is this premise is exactly something I wanted to run!

Yeah, I realize that it may be somewhat of an overused trope. But the reason it's an overused trope is that it works really well : ) Three spots filled. One left.

This is actually a setting I think would be perfect for me, everyone on relatively new ground without hardcore expectations... If you'd have me I'd love to join! I'm very much so a night person myself so 6:30pm PST is actually pretty perfect (before you question why I'm awake at 7:40am and calling myself a night person it's because I haven't gone to bed yet hah...). 24 years old and I'll have more than enough time to spare to each session.
Sent you a PM. Looks like we have a full house. See you all online.
If you get an open slot later shoot me a message, I would love to join you! I usually run 5E and Apocalypse worlds and I am looking to add another game to my repertoire! Once I am comfortable enough with the game I could be a substitute GM if you get the urge to be a PC.
It pains me that I came across this too late, I've alwys wanted to get into a SWN game and I'm in love with your premise. If someone were to drop out, I'd love it if you'd consider me :)
I'll absolutely keep you guys in the loop if someone drops out.
