A Question: How are Campaigns Stored, Are They One File or Several Files?

I am wondering if it would be possible to Back Up your campaign file I.E. Save it as you go along, to your own hard drive. Not to use or work on it, but as a BackUp off site safety net. I had lost a total campaign but did have a back up on site, but I would like to back up all my campaigns but not have them cluttering up my Campaign Page. I am a Supporter so I'm not worried about the storage I'm thinking more about the reliability. Other than that Loss of a Campaign, Roll20 has performed almost without a hitch and in the more than 20 sessions I've run over the last 2 months.
If you ever lose a campaign please post in the forums ASAP. Roll20 makes regular backups of everyones campaign data and there is the possibility of the devs doing restores.
I did post it the next day, this was a situation right at the end of the session several players including myself all tried to refresh and after that the module would no longer load.
Ok, we must have missed it. What was the full name of the campaign?
I did post it the next day, this was a situation right at the end of the session several players including myself all tried to refresh and after that the module would no longer load. Just FYI, this was a bug with character encodings and copy+pasting from PDF files. It's been fixed for a few weeks now, so (I'm assuming, at least) that this happened before then? The data is actually all still in your campaign, but it just can't load because of a bad encoding that was introduced when you were using it last. Backing up your file yourself would not have prevented this from happening, unfortunately. But as Eric said if you tell us the name of the Campaign we can try and fix the issues, we've had some success with fixing it manually in the past. Sorry that you had that trouble! As Eric said, we do perform a full backup of all campaigns to an off-site location every night.
No problem, I had backed up the Campaign so it was not an issue for me, but the players did have to redo their macros and bios, but it wasn't a super crisis. Thanks for the response.
