New Player LFG

I guess I should start by saying that I'm mostly interested in D&D 3.5 and 5.0 but I'm open to trying other rpgs too! But I'll have to learn how to play any others. Also I'm available Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6pm (PST) to whenever. Anyway hello! I understand the basics of how to play but I don't have much experience. My friends and I met a group of people starting up a 3.5 edition game. They were kind enough to invite us to join and the DM played us through a "tutorial campaign." The actual campaign hasn't started yet though (it's been over a month) and I'm eager to play more. I learn fast! Status: Still looking!

It has its own system, its actually very simple and I wouldn't mind teaching you. The only issue would be if you cannot make Wednesdays in case your character has something to do with the main group but otherwise if you're up for sunday late afternoons/night we can make it work. The rival house is named House Kraken, a house based in dragonstone whose lord was recently send north to the Nights Watch. The timeline is around the Purple wedding. 3pm EST-8pm EST. And my games a rather flexible. If you joined you could propose a game on a day you are free and if there are enough other players who wanted to play the adventure you proposed, then I would run it.

We will be running a full campaign with 4-5 people using this hopefully weekly for a month or 2, but we will be playing a oneshot today to give new players to the homebrew a chance to try it out before committing. It's basically 5E, but with many of the values tweaked to more realistic standards (ex. ranges on guns), as well as flavor for being a Survivor rather than an adventurer.

My group is something you join, sorry for not including a link: DnD4e Open Games The games are 4 hours long, but I ask that people leave 5 hours to make sure we can get through things. Also the games are player-scheduled and player-driven. If you are available on a certain day, just get a couple other players and put up a proposal. My schedule can be very open, and if I'm available on that day I'll run the proposed adventure.

I looked too fast and thought you were only looking for 3.5 or 5E, and thought maybe you would want to have that in the title, but I understand you are actually open to any RPG so you didn't put it in the title and that's fine. I believe users can edit title if you want to, just mouse-over and click into the title, edit it, and hit return. I think that works.
