A Little Help Please NEWBIE ADVICE

Hi I am new to this entire genre, so i was wondering what games were the most popular and what i would need to start playing them. Also i was wondering if anyone is willing to host some tutorial games for new players just so we could get a taste of what its all about. I have always been curious about Dnd and pathfinder since i was young but never knew anyone who played so anyone's help would be greatly appreciated. The last thing i would want to do is join someone else s game and then have them realize i don't know what i am doing. BTW i hope that i am posting this in the right section sorry if I'm not.

Since you do not want to join a game, this is the wrong section.  Sorry. If on the other hand you are looking for a training game, a newbie game, or a tutorial game, just put one of those words into the search box over on the looking for group tool. Assume a 99% failure rate.  You are the equivalent of a cold calling telemarketer.  Do not give up, counteract the small odds with large volume.

I can host a Tutorial 4e game if you'd like. I believe I am free this Friday. Gathering a team will be the easiest part, and the game will be mostly small battles and exploration, probably lasting no longer than three hours.
