Completely new player LFG

So I have always been a big gamer and interested in tabletop's but have never had the chance to play, I came across roll 20 some months back and thought great I can start playing. HOWEVER it seems that it is near impossible for someone with 0 experience to find a group or someone who can get them into the game. If anyone can help me out I would be very grateful ?

Bumping a bit much there sir, however is there a certain game system you had in mind?

I don't know the game systems or anything that the problem sorry for bumping but just seems like all the other posts are getting seen / responded to but not mine

Well first off, I'd like to know what you had in mind rather than bumping around in the dark here, the issue with most experienced GMs is that they tend to take people they know or have experience within Roll20 and aren't just touristing for games and then dropping them when they decided they don't want to keep up with it or can't make the commitment. I've had that occur several times myself.

Not that you may be like that but its just what I've observed personally and my own reservations.

Okay I see what you mean. Well I really want to get into I think the DnD side of things rather than GOT or Star Wars or something. I have no background of any of the systems or what would be best for a brand new player . i have plenty of time to commit and I am ready to learn

Ah alright, it might also help to post your times readily & consistently available. Personally though, the only game I have open IS a Game of Thrones RPG. Seems everyone wants to just play pathfinder & DnD :(.

The only reason I say not GOT is because I don't watch the series and haven't read the books in a long time
