Player LFG, Dresden Files RPG, AEST but flexible time schedule

I would really like to play this system, but it's hard to find a group for.
If you have any luck finding a group for this time, I'd be interested in joining the group. I don't have much experience with the FATE system or I'd offer to DM, but I love the Dresden Files universe and I'm at AEST too.
I am definitely interested in playing! I love the Dresden files and the idea of the gaming system. I have never managed to get a game together though. If anyone is in for GMing I would love to play and help out. I'm in CDT time zone though (Central Unites States). AEST is 15 hours ahead of me.
I love dresden files as well and would be game to play. I do not, however, like the system that it is using by default as a DM. If I were to play I'd be game for whatever, but I'd run a Dresden Files game in a completely different system if I was running it.
What kind of system would you run it in? Also, as somone who has only read through the rule book, what do you not like about the system it uses?
Personally my initial impressions, even as a player, was that the whole core mechanic of 4d6 and each being +/0/- didn't do a good job of actually making me feel skilled in an ability and felt too significant when a single change in category on a -2 to 8 scale is well, a lot. I could live with that though; but having combat stats and your three types of health being skills is a killer for me. I got introduced to FATE as being able to take whatever skills I want for the character and it'd be fine, but I feel forced to take the skills that govern core attributes or to be worthless. TL;DR: I don't like the core mechanic for randomisation, I strongly dislike that core attributes are hidden as skills.

Slightly different versions of most of what Cloud said. Honestly I think what I would want to run it in would be a world of darkness type system. Or possibly using a modified L5R if everyone was wizards. The L5R thing is what intrigues me the most to be honest. There is a certain "having to keep your word" that comes with that universe. The idea of swearing on your power or something similar is something that could be a real big threat, like honor is in L5R , to some character archetypes. Sort of like the three types of health thing, only its the 2 I think would be important. And, for the most part, only one of them is going to be "attacked" while the other is simply maintained.
Cloud, Wow! I honestly did not remember it being so convoluted from when I initially read through the rule book. Although, I was significantly more naive about tabletop RPGs in those days. I will have to look through it again. Nowadays, I have played quite bit of Fantasy Flight's Star Wars RPG that uses a dice system that is similar in some ways and I found them to be a fun form of randomization especially from a roleplaying standpoint. Albeit frustrating to interpret sometimes. Gary, I will have to look into the L5R after work, but I like the idea of a system that mimics the role playing mechanics found in the FATE system. I have always wanted to play a changeling in the Dresden universe. I think making the "choice" into fun mechanic is likely challenging though. I will have see how it fits into the L5R system.
Well I think the issue is that it's not convoluted enough, if that makes sense. They made it simple by having only skills instead of say skills and statistics, but that makes some skills far better than the others. Anyway not to derail this further, yeah I would love to play a Dresden Files game, but I couldn't bring myself to DM the default system. I'd play it though if it meant I got to RP in that world.
