Beryl is an aggressive driver, our ship is currently sticking into the scout ship. Also I have a new friend, a little orange bot working name: Tessellated Automaton Networkable Gyroid or TANG. Oh and what sort of advancement system are we using?
Ya know, it's a good thing our ship wasn't a fist...
One more thing, have a random Dorito :D https://vine.co/v/OYiZdX05VIU
Oh and what sort of advancement system are we using? Well I'm not handing out XP every session if thats what you are asking. Although I suppose if everyone wants me to hand out XP I could give out 1 point every session that you play in. Thoughts?
I'm fine with it mostly being story/equipment/minion linked advancement, though a drip of xp is welcome. The standard roll cliche to get evens for advancement seems a bit lopsided. Though the secondary rule for rolling/getting a chance at advancement for impressive acts looks pretty nice. Oh and what about the lucky dice option? Could be interesting and might be applicable to a couple other things, a resource for rerolls or stepping up a die type for a roll. Or I may be letting my love of crunchy mechanics bleed into a purposely soft system.

Hokay! I'm totally new here to the system and the concept. Super stoked though. In the limited amount of time that I've had to think of this thus far in between League of Legends games, I'm probably going to lean somewhat towards a huge NERD because my waifu favorite Gem is Pearl. I'm probably going to lean towards the Tsavorite gem. My original concept was going to revolve around a bladed-bow (Think Pit from Smash), but I might instead pick a katar if the bow isn't allowed. As far as appearance? I haven't fully designed anything yet. Probably going to look a little gender neutral (Peridot-esque). From what I remember from the advertisement, you had a mage, a Gemgineer, and some kind of fighter, yes? EDIT: my skype is artemuscomposition
Haha sweet, I've got a fellow green team member and the opposite end of the garnet/pearl/peridot spectrum, I'm a burly brain sort, kind of a smith-maker concept. If you can't get a bow maybe you could go for a transforming weapon(katar/bladed bow) or have a bow in one of your fusions, since Opal has a bow and all that.
Transforming weapon? Mmmn...Very interesting. As time goes on throughout the week, I'll be sure to periodically post here on my character progress.
Hi, this the gm just wanted to say nothing wrong with a blade bow. I'm trying to not use skype at the moment mostly because two weeks ago my laptop died on me and I got a chrome book...which doesn't do skype.

Name: Zirconia Class: Kindergartener (2d6 - 14 pts) Weapon: Drill-Hammer (4d10 - 44 pts) Blue-Collar Gem - 3d8 (27 pts) Earth Human Culture - 3d4 (15 pts) Flaw: Unstable Form - Zirconia was never designed to be a sentient Gem, and so her mortal form is prone to collapsing. The longer she's been in human form, the more likely she will snap back to Gem form. (Suggested game mechanic - Base 5% + 2%/hr chance of snapping back into her Gem. Gets 1 roll every other turn to attempt to come back out.) Back story: Through actions nobody fully understands (although it is suspected that a Rose Quartz was involved), the essence of an Amethyst managed to infuse to the crystal processor of a Kindergarten Injector, and Zirconia was born. She has revealed a sweet, somewhat naive personality, and seeks approval from others by showing off what a hard worker she is. Her unstable biology requires her to retreat into her Gem form periodically, so she usually "sleeps" in Gem form for about an hour each day. Battle Style: Despite the large and unwieldy nature of Zirconia's drill-hammer weapon, she can use it to tunnel quickly for devastating surprise attacks. Fusion Dance: 80's style break dancing Thoughts? What am I missing?
Well goggles and a mole familiar, also a mech. Pierce the heavens champ.

- Nephrite Class: Homeworld Scout (4d7 - 32 pts) Weapon: Gem-Powered Blade-Bow (3d10 - 33 pts) Historian (2d6 - 14 pts) Scientist (2d6 - 14 pts) Musician (1d6 - 7 pts) Flaw: Severe Trust Issues Points Spent: 100 Dance: Ballroom Slow-Dancing (1940's era) Nephrite's Gem is located on her forehead, and generally draws her weapon as a sword first, which expands as she prepares for combat. Like Pearl and Peridot, Nephrite's Gem does not have any facets. When the Crystal Gems first opposed the Homeworld, Nephrite fought against Rose Quartz and the others, serving the Homeworld as a scout and spy to keep tabs on the enemy as the battle went on. When she was eventually caught, she was challenged by the Crystal Gems with mercy, and when she attempted to return to the Homeworld, was threatened with treachery by her own comrades. From that point forward, Nephrite could never bring herself to trust so easily. The only Gems she could adequately look to were Rose Quartz, Garnet, and Pearl. When Rose gave herself up, Nephrite decided to leave the company of the other Gems, taking on the mission she accepted for the defense of Earth by herself. (By Pearl I think we've done it! If there's something wrong with the backstory or any other aspect of this character, please tell me!) (EDIT: Changed the image for Nephrite's weapon.)
Looks good. I like your flaw.
Thanks! I wanted something that expressed solitude appropriate for a scout-like character without making it super...edgy.
So, I have a friend that I recently introduced to Steven Universe. I was curious if we have any more slots open.
I've edited Zirconia's original entry to include purchased dice pools, flaw, etc. Adem B. said: Well goggles and a mole familiar, also a mech. Pierce the heavens champ. I got my heavens pierced at a mall kiosk last year - that was a mistake. Now my heavens are all swollen and purple.

Only thing I could think of is picking out your fusion dance. We're going to get to know each other rather well I think in two campaigns 'Zilla. Still deciding between the shoulder of my shield arm or back of the head for my gem location. Thoughts?
Added. My Gem be poppin and lockin yo.
Back of the head is a weird place to have it. What does it say about your character?
Possibly that they've got better multitasking/parallel processing ability, keeping things literally on the backburner. Possibly less capable of forward thinking- logical leaps and such, more into planning extensively than working out creative strategies on the fly. Generally falling back onto, punch the thing instead of making up a new plan right away. Main reason is not having the forehead gem location of all the other intelligent gems since the character is less rarified and more of a working class/brawny brain. The shoulder thing possibly works out better as far as being action oriented.
Awesome. As long as you've given it some thought.
I made another edit to my profile, and added a dancing style for Fordite :3
Alrighty then. I'll have to start doing that for my npcs on the off chance that they need to fuse...yeah like that'll ever happen. Okay so from now on, everyone that writes down their dance style gets 1 extra point. So 101 points for a new character.
Der Kommissar said: Okay so from now on, everyone that writes down their dance style gets 1 extra point. So 101 points for a new character. What can I get with 1 point?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I CAN'T DEAL WITH THIS. HAVING ONE POINT LEFT OVER?!
Nothing, but if we're getting trickle xp, you can save it to upgrade the dice on one of your lower cliches, think I'll up my shapeshifting a bit if we've that xp from last session.
