Custom Journal types/templates

This may be similar/related to <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1239632/multiple" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1239632/multiple</a>... It would be nice, as a GM, to have custom types or templates for specific journal entries. For instance, many games tend toward more simplified stat blocks for NPCs and other adversaries the players will face - such as 5th Edition D&D. If I could create a template (or multiple templates) for things that aren't explicitly player characters (let's just say, for example, the aforementioned stat blocks or even player-editable sheets for their Pokemon in Pokemon: Tabletop United), or even other sorts of items with full attribute support (basically, character sheet lite), it would be wonderful. A current workaround right now seems to be using a tab or radio box in the character sheet for the system, but that just feels... unnecessary and bloating. A system like this could potentially even replace the current explicit single-style character sheet system. Rather than selecting a single character sheet type (see complaints in the above thread), what if all of these sheets were custom handout/sheet types that a GM could define (and potentially import) for their game?
I would like to see custom journal entries for things like Fronts from the Apocalypse World engine. I could even see building custom sheets for locations, items, or anything else that would need structured data. The linking of journal entries is nice, but it would also be nice to reference attributes of the journal entries.
Cassandra, The default D&D 5E character sheet has an NPC button you can press at the top to change the character sheet to a more simplified NPC sheet. Also, if that is not simple enough you could build your own table in a player handout and then make copies of it for your NPCs and just fill in the blocks. This would work much like an excel spreadsheet.
D&D was just one example, there are many others who can benefit from this - for many of them, it's not as clean as that. For example: World of Darkness games running multiple supernatural subtypes.
