Hello! I am looking for four Level 4 characters to help me test out a module i've been preparing for. It could just be for tonight, though i am open to going until we reach the end if the group meshes well. Faster and cooler will always win out over being correct according to the book. The setting is the standard Forgotten Realms, but before the Spellplague had even occurred, much less been reversed. Level 4 Characters Standard Array, 27 point Point-Buy, or 2d6+6 are acceptable Stat Generation Methods. ( Not the standard 4d6d1.) Any PHB, DMG, or PotA races, PHB or PotA spells, and PHB classes are alright with me. (Just know that i don't recognize the new Araacokra form yet. So if you're one of them, you still have the classic form. Like this: ) Double starting gold, and add 1 Potion of Healing. No other magic items, yet. The party already knows each other, so if you want to make a Bond with someone from the party that would probably help! I do a few things differently than you may be used to, and i just want you to know ahead of time. I reroll initiative every round, because it's vastly more interesting than most of the alternatives, and faster than the remaining alternatives. 8 hours is a Short Rest, while 7 Days is a long rest. Because this is the rule that makes 5e playable for me. Without it, i'm not interested in 5e. (Though your spells do come back after a night's rest, as per every other edition .) Skill Checks, no matter how good the roll, must be explained in terms of a character's actions before they count. (Just think " i study the glyph on the nearby wall from a few feet back to see what i can learn from it, hopefully without triggering it. " as opposed to " i walk through the door and roll a 20 for that thing on the other side of the room. ") I am more exploration-focused, and generally like to account for everything that the party does. It can be tedious, or a lot of fun. It's just my style. If you're one of those players who always loudly bemoans the lack of "real RP" in the games you play, i'm expecting you to bring it with you! Anyway, that's just about enough of that for now. If you're interested, and/or have the time, make somebody up and let's go!
