Shadowrun 4e - GM looking for players [full]

**Game is full. Thanks for your interest!** Seattle, 2073. It's been 3 years since Governor Brackhaven was elected, despite his openly racist views, and the new law in town is starting to get settled and comfortable. Then again, that just means the shadows are a slightly more reliable place to do business. Smalltime gangers fight for turf, but the real battle is between the megacorps. The sixth world is a volatile place, and everyone wants to be on the cutting edge. It seems the corps have figured out that Seattle is one of the best places to pick up off-the-record employees to do their dirty work, so everyone seen so much as carrying a gun hits their radar as a potential asset. Friendships and business deals are made easily, enemies even more so. Games will be played online via microphone, Sundays from 8pm - midnight, EST (GMT -5). I am negotiable on day, but not time. We'll go with standard 400 BP characters. I only have what I believe to be the 6 core books (SR4, RC, AUG, ARS, UN, SM), so if you're using anything from any other book, just give me a heads up so I can look into it ahead of time. I've had trouble making groups in the past, mostly with commitment, so please don't think I'm being an ass when I tell you how I am going to select players: based on the effort made to communicate with me, and the amount of thought put into your character's concept and backstory. I am personally a fan of the character quiz on page 18 of the Runner's Companion (especially answered in character!), but however you design your character is fine with me. I especially encourage you to email with me back and forth if you want someone to bounce ideas off, if you want suggestions for contacts (I have several NPCs who deal with shadowrunners already created, for example), etc. I prefer too much communication over too little. I don't mind people who have not played Shadowrun before, but in those cases, I expect you to read enough to be able to make your character and understand your abilities and how they work. My email is jeff DOT pinck AT gmail DOT com. Look forward to hearing from you, chummers!
whoa, two Shadowrun games....shoot, I don't wanna just join because it's being offered, um for the time being I'll at least say I'm interested but unless I communicate with you more its assumed I can't join.
Where were you when we were looking for a GM lol.... I got talked into gearing up for one...but...what do you think about Saturdays?
I am quite intrigued with the game, the Sundays would be great for me, but I have problem with the microphones, my sound card is not the best and I tend to freeze and drop out in a skype/google talk conversation - so I expect it would be the same here.
I have had a few people ask already about playing Friday or Saturday night - it's not my first choice, but if I have enough commited, reliable players, I'd probably be alright with it. Sorry to hear about your sound issues Karasu - hopefully you can get that sorted out!
I would be interested, I'll find my books and see about making a character.
argh! Do I attempt to state interest or ....
I am absolutely interested I have been dying to play a shadowrun game. I am relatively new to the game though having only ever played one time. The stated time is the best for me and the microphone won't be a problem. Oops except for this sunday i am on duty so i can type but i cannot use the mic.
Update: it seems I do have enough interest in Sundays, which is the best day for me, so I'll be going with that. I apologize to those who were hoping to play on a different day. Recruitment is still open, though I have slightly more people interested than I want players at this point.
This looks fun. Still need players?
I am new to the online rpg, but have been table topping for 18 years, including a few rounds with shadowrun. I have read up on 4e but still haven't played it but definitely am interested. I am pretty sure i can figure out the microphone thing but haven't actually done any rpg over the net yet edit: After piling through the rules, i have determined that i am lost when it comes to the vehicles/drone rules. It seems like riggers are built like hackers skill wise, but i don't have enough knowledge of the system. I like the idea of a dwarf mechanic though. Maybe an all around tinkerer type.
