Hello! My boyfriend and I are really hoping to step into the action of D&D, however he suffers from anxiety when it comes to voice or video chatting with strangers. I thought it would be a good idea if we got some practice from an experienced, laidback GM who is willing to teach us the ropes. Someone who will lead us on a fun casual adventure, easing him in where the only stranger is he GM, as well as walking us through the mechanics. I've never played but I'm more familier with the gameplay and character creation than he is. Seeing that it would only be the two of us in this campaign, I went ahead and created characters with him. They are mostly finished without anything too detailed besides backgrounds however I know they don't exactly need to be braught into gameplay, but we're also Absolutely willing to tweak anything to work things out. I plan to hopefully being a Chaotic Neutral female Goliath Fighter, a Mercenary generally with a good heart when it matters. My boyfriend wants to be a Drow Wizard, Necromancer, escaped exile leaning towards Chaotic Neutral. Maybe after reading this, you might be turned off by the idea, in which I understand completely if you do. We have concepts but nothings set in stone. That is why I hope for a GM who is laidback and willing to teach. This is more for fun and practice than an absolutely serious, strict storyline. We are in Eastern Standard Time, and are mostly free after 7pm.
