Experienced D&D player LFG 3.5e, often as possible

Hey, all. Very experienced D&D player, looking for a 3.5/3.5e group that plays often. Any level is fine, group experience irrelevant. I would, however, prefer a seasoned DM. Not required. I haven't ever used roll20, so I don't have any characters here, but I do have characters ready to go that are on paper for any setting. Feel free to PM me or shoot me an email/Google Hangouts message - endostatic@gmail.com Thanks, Frank
Shameless bump. -.-
We could try to form a group then search for a DM.
I don't mind that, really. Just the search for a DM can be dreadful.
Good DMs are indeed hard to find. I know a few so I might be able to talk one of them into DMing another campaign if we get the people together. I'd say maybe 4 people total?
Yeah, 4 PCs is ideal. Variety is necessary though. Melee gets messy if there's too much.
Well we can hash out the details once we get all of the people together.
I'm a DM.... Running a game currently on here already, (and its up to 5 PCs and a few NPCs already). But I might be willing to start up another game, (I mean, seriously, I'm only running one and playing three other nights of the week, So I have free time.... kinda). One thing to note: I prefer typing out interactions with NPC's and such, while being on Teamspeak for player/DM interaction. (teamspeak because I use whispers for communicating with Players for 'special' knowledge. check out this post and look for my name, it explains a little about how I DM and what I expect from my players, and If you like it, we can talk some more. https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/210324/roll-play-vs-role-play-as-well-as-your-take-on-alignments its not a complete write up, but conveniently brings to light my views on alignment and rollvsrole playing - any questions, feel free to ask.
I read through most of the information you posted on there and from the seem of things you are a more strict DM then some I have worked with, which in my opinion is a good thing. I've played too many games where alot of corners are cut by the players and the DM due to general laziness and such. As you stated for an example, a player wants to travel to a different town with a safe route, in my experience the player just asks the DM which options are available then picks one of them. There really isn't any roleplaying involved with said decision which is always a shame. I feel like far too many opportunities are missed for good roleplaying experiences when little things such as this are overlooked. Alignment is another thing I feel should be far more strict, most DMs don't even bother with it unless they have a specific class that requires them to act a certain way, such as the Paladin. I feel like that takes away from the game though, if a player wants to play something like Chaotic Neutral then their decision making should revolve around a very chaotic view of things while avoiding being evil in the process. That or so a player goes around killing people for no reason at all while being good aligned, most DM's just shrug is off when an alignment shift is clearly necessary. All and all, you seem like you'd be a good DM to work with and I'd be more than happy to try to hash out some stuff with you.
Just dropping in to bump and to say Michael seems like the ideal DM for the kind of games I would hope to play, if this dose take off I would like to offer my services to the part. I'm pretty skilled magic user (I spend a lot of time on my characters and their magic) but I'm also handy with the more mundane classes. On a side note have you tried looking at pathfinder? It's a lot like D&D 3.5 but has been tweaked to balance things out and make it more interesting. One example would be that players get something new every level so there is no more dead levels: This is a Pathfinder fighter: http://paizo.com/prd/classes/fighter.html This is a D&D 3.5 fighter: http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Fighter
I have played pathfinder and I find 3.5 to be superior.
Oh? I'm a bit shocked. Out of curiosity what do you find superior?
You just get pampered with too much free stuff and it takes much less planning to do things with your character's progression. As for the things it fixes for some casters, yeah they are helpful but overall I do not find it superior. 3.5e has nothing I dislike in it to my knowledge.
Fair enouph ^.^
If you two are still looking, can I get in on this group?
Yeah we are. I'll pm you.
yep. just so you know they have rolled character stats. if you decide you want in, then you'll have to abide by the same rules. you might find it strange.
That's good - I prefer rolled stats. It provides for a more creative game. Sometimes you roll terrible, sometimes you roll great.
Hey, guys? Haven't heard from anyone in a couple days. Someone wanna fill me in on what's happenin?
