PC Bubbles

Reposting this, as it was closed. Not sure what they are officially called, but the 3 bubbles we get now above the tokens are alien to me.  A heart, a red zigzag and a blue thing. I like their use and visualization, but not the icons. I know roll20 is game neutral, so I am suggesting this. As a GM, allow me the option to select 1 of (8?)  pre-selected icons for each of the three bubbles in settings. They do not even need to be 8 for each, you can share the same 8. For example: Heart, Red ZigZag, Blue Thingy, Gray Shield, (sword, star, something to symbolize attack) and so on. This allows the GM to set them up for his/her needs with "hopefully"  an icon that can relate.  Right now the icons do not fit my game, and is one of the many reasons we remain on rpgtable. I'd love to see a red heart, gray shield and sword for my D&D needs. but maybe the blue thing and red line suit a different game.  Who knows what default tokens can be used.
+1, or let us upload our own icons.
+1 Upload our own as well as some defaults as suggested above...Shield...Sword...Gun...Skull...Eyeball...Hearts good.  Isn't the heart and the the green E.K.G. heartbeat thingy the same?  I can never decide which is for hitpoints!:)
It would definitely be nice to get some alternate icons for those, especially since roll20 is going for game neutrality. The only things I could come up with for the current set up without just ignoring the icon itself is a system that uses health (red lifeline), morale (green heart), and power/magic (blue bolt). Gary L. said: Shield...Sword...Gun...Skull...Eyeball...Hearts good.  Isn't the heart and the the green E.K.G. heartbeat thingy the same?  I can never decide which is for hitpoints!:) Since I play 4e, I use the green heart for hp and the red lifeline for healing surges. We've had to use the blue bolt for temp hp, but the icon doesn't really make sense for that. I have to wonder if there is *any* system for which the 3 current bars actually make sense.
+1
green bar = hit points blue lightning bolt =  spell points red heart line = tempHP  and thats all DND. (using a spellpoint varient system, perfect for online gaming where you can really keep track of such things very easily.) of course, I dont use the red bar for tempHP ALL the time, quite often I use it for players to be able to input variable values for macros, such as binding it to power attack or combat expertise. in fact, on one character it was his sneak attack damage = he'd just put in the amount of dice he got to roll if it qualified as a sneak attack - and then put it back down to 0 for normal attacks with no extra die (the part of his macro for sneak attack damage was bound to @{sneakAttack}d6 so it rolled whatever he put in the bubble.
oh, and on the subject of bubbles - would still love to see MORE bubbles available to a character. being able to have assigned to each individual variable would be awesome, especially if tokens could be bound to the bubble itself for the icon, and the color customizable.  Been thinking about it and a drop down menu would be the easiest way to implement it wouldn't it? the three bubbles layout doesn't actually have to change, but with a drop down menu it would be a simple thing to right-click a bubble, select another bubble and have it replace the bubble with the new one, wouldn't it? I mean, maybe not quite as simple to code, but still then you could have a series of bubbles up for different situations without having to change the original feel of the bubble itself, as I think three bars are perfect; any more and it would clutter the icon too much. Being able to click and switch what the bubble is currently tracking would be wonderful and having the color customizable for each 'value' it tracks would make it easy to figure out what stats its currently tracking as it would be that color.
I think up to 8 bubbles, up to 8 colors, up to 8 icons, and up to 4 bars is the way to go. In the same game, I would use... 1 Icon for HP (Red Heart Icon, bar) 1 Icon for temp HP (Pink Heart Icon, bar) 1 Icon for Healing Surges (Red Scope Trace Icon, no bar) 1 Icon for Action Points (Green Sword Icon, no bar) 1 or more Icons for Magic/Power charges (Various Color Lightning Bolt/Fireballs, bar or no bar, depending on class) 1 or more Icons for Ammunition (Various Color Arrow Quiver/Magazine Clip, dependent on setting, bar or no bar, depending on class)
