I tend to think, "What do I want to do?" (which I know practically nothing about) rather than thinking "What can I do?" What I'd like to do is make an easily manageable large scale map that I can use to track elements for each tile, such as location, but also variables in between, like the location of a character or the type of terrain that it is. I'm definitely thinking about learning more about API to try to accomplish these goals or trying to pick up a coding language to create trackers for map data while coordinating with the built-in map-grid features if that's actually a possibility. I don't know very much about what the map features are or how they can be put to some effect as it is, but I'd like to get out of this conversation is maybe a gist of what API is capable of as well as some ideas about how to use and make a giant map for Roll20.
Hi Matthew! I recommend that you check out the API forums! There is a lot of interesting stuff that goes on there way beyond making macros! Some of them even made entire new systems for their games! Don't be afraid to ask a lot of questions. There are some very talented and helpful people here on the forums!
