Hello folks, Starting up a Faerun (Forgotten Realms) Campaign using the pathfinder rules. This game will be for mature, consistent players Probably on Saturday afternoons between 2pm-6pm. I'm willing to tweak the time a little but not earlier than 12 noon and certainly no later than 5pm. We will be using skype. And your backstory will very much affect how the campaign is played. Specific details regarding the game can be found on its looking for group entry. But here are the basics. The game starts off in Cormyr in the Late-Summer of 1369 DR (Shortly after the events the Cormyr Novel). From there it separates from the story. Brigands are pouring into the land as well as an upsurge of non-human refugees coming into the lands from the east, some peaceful, some not so much. Savage beasts that have not been seen in hundreds of years are not reappearing in the Kings Forest and an unprecedented number of elementals. The crown has sent forth a call for able bodied adventurers to help get to the bottom of this, issue.. ---------------------------------------- Players will begin the game at 3rd level (Because I think 1st level starts are boring :P). With 3000gp. There is a max of 1000g for weapons, armor and magical items. Magic items do not include consumable magic items such as scrolls. [[Note: thats not 1000g total for armor, weapons and magic. Thats 1000g to spend on each catagory.]] Self-crafted items purchased for reduced price. The Rich Parents trait is forbidden, although you can say your parents were wealthy if you'd like. Mature Content: The game itself will be a gritty game, with content that would certainly not be suitable for all ages. I will not keep my players from cursing or swearing. And the story (which has already outlined) will have Thayan Slavers. So it will deal with slavery and human trafficking. Furthermore, I use transmutation spells heavily, ALL variations. size, age, inanimate (petrification), species and even GENDER. I will not hold back on using them on evil npcs, or player characters. IF you are not comfortable with this, move along. What I will not allow is blatant sex scenes, graphic depictions of intimate acts. Of screen, if your character boinks the barmaid... go for it. But not in game. Restricted Classes: No Summoners (balance), or Samurai (roleplay). Gunslingers are permitted, but you must construct all components yourself, and materials costs x2 as much as only the earliest of firearms are available. Bolter Archtype of course is unrestricted. Race Rules: Any that can be adapted to play from the pathfinder books, NO Custom Races pls. Races from the faerun 3.5 books permitted upon review. NO GODLINGS :P Acceptable Books: Paizo Books are pretty much carte blanc, no unchained, no background/adventure skills, no wounds. No Mythic. Hero Point variant in effect. 3rd Party: With review. 3.5 FR books: Because the Forgotten Realms Setting is 3.5 Content some level of conversion will be required to keep role play and combat consistent. Therefore I will be allowing people to use some content from those books. Ask for details.
