A question about the D&D 5th spellbook

Is proficiency taken into account anywhere when calculating a spell? Cause i'm pretty sure that's a rule.
I believe when you do ranged spells that require a dice roll, you use: Wis/Cha/Int (depending on class) + Proficiency + other bonuses (like magical stuff) Similar to weapons. When you calc DC for saving throws against your spells, I think its 8 + wis/int/cha + proficiency
no i got that but i was wondering why it wasn't taking proficiency into account, as it turns you you need to set it on the class page.
