Big Fat Geeks Land on the Shores of RollD20 and Immediately Start AD&D 2.X Campaigns!!!

We are the Big Fat Geeks, a mirthful fellowship of old school gamers and RPGers. As a computer gaming guild, we have been together for over ten years through several tabletop platforms, and dozens of MMORPGs. As a pen and paper guild, we have been together for over 20 years (yea, several of us are as old as lich-droppings in Acererak's outhouse). We recently arrived here at D20. We play house rules home-brew 2.X. I have converted several TSR and Judge's Guild classics into tourney dungeons and campaigns.  We are currently play-testing TSR's C1 - Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan in its original tournament mode. We are a consensus-driven group of nerds and fan-boys that love RP and D&D.  Our next intended foray would be to start new characters in a beginner campaign.  This will help us flesh out our house rules together as a group, and prepare for good character-destiny driven campaign design as you progress out of lower levels. We will be gaming through TSR's In Search of Adventure, which includes modules B1-B9 (yep, 10 "instances" crammed together tighter than a fat dwarf trying to shinny into a portable hole for a nap). As a social guild, play can be slower at times, but the group we play with is a barrel of fun. Our guild motto is, "It's not the quest, it's the people you choose to travel with that make all the difference." (It used to be, "Pass the Keoghtm's" but nobody could pronounce Keoghtm's, so we changed it.) If you are interested, drop me a note and we can meet up in our geek-vent and see if there is a match in play-style. Anyone interested in playing D&D with old hippies and young fan-boys are welcome. Rule-Nazis are serious buzz-shavers and will be pressured to relax and release their logical, physics based beliefs (perhaps while deeply inhaling some Hobbiton pipe-weed). We have not set standard times/days for gaming - but we play almost nightly, so we can figure it all out with ease.
Sounds awesome. I've played several 2nd edition game and am always up for playing more and more D&D.
Interested.  Was started on AD&D 2nd back in the day :)
I am posting responses to individuals via private message. Thanks for all of your messages and know that Brother Loves you. We're playing the tourney (C1) tonight for an interested parties to stop by and check it out.  We have also started making new toons for the starter campaign and have 6 people so far - I would like around 10. PM me for vent address to get acquainted
Hey, I'd like to jump in if it's at all possible.  I'm steadily refreshing this page to find if anyone has replied to any of my posts or messages, because I'm uber bored this week.  I started D&D with 2AD&D when I was 7, 23 years ago.  Feel free to give me info.
i woiuld love to play if i may that is if you do not mind a mute player as i can not speak all my gaming is text based it sucks i know but i am interested and i also have none of the books for the older versions of dnd i only have the 3.5 books
I'm interested but my schedule is pretty strict in terms of when I can play. Due to work I can only play after 9pm EST but I can play until odd hours of the night so long sessions aren't a problem. As for days, anything but Wednesday and Thursday works for me. Almost all of my experience lies in 3.5e but I've been looking to give 2e a try for a while now. I know the show Rollplay is based off a 2.5e world so I'm pretty familiar with how everything is done. Would need a hand making a character sheet and such though.
i can not make this game because i can not download programs like that on here because this is my work computer as well
