Interest Check, Stormlight Archive inspired Campaign.

Looking to run a campaign based in the Stormlight Archive world, so if you haven't already read the Brandon Sanderson series, that is a bonus. Havent decided on a platform but probably D&D. Possibly willing to try theatre of the mind instead of making battlemaps which is an idea that always interested me. Characters from the series would make cameos but personalities and character traits will not be the same as they are in the book. That is, a good character in the book may be an enemy in the campaign, as to not ruin the books for anyone who wishes to read them. Just wondering if this idea seems interesting to anyone but me.
i know i'd be interested if a crunch heavy system (like gurps) were employed. otherwise everything seems like it would have to be built just right to handle just right. the shard-blades and shardplate, for example, have very specific mechanics that would be hard to mimic in most systems. also the nature of how magic works, is way way way more power based than spell based. i think that a super hero system would proboally be the best way to model it. you need a system that is used to handeling weird things in logical ways. i'm a pretty massive sanderson fan, i've read every fantasy work he's written and most of his sci-fi. i remember reading that sanderson plays gurps, but there is a mistborn RPG that he was involved in, and he is currently working on one for stormlite. his systems are a mixture ofGURPS, fate and legend of the 5 rings, if memory serves. hope that's helpful!
