Adventurers for Hire ! (Well, looking for a game) So it always seems like there’s strong interest in Exalted , what’s not to love ? You’ve got a storyteller based system (more than just a dungeon crawl) that fits nearly any fantasy genre (depending on where you look on the map) where the players get that sense of empowerment. We have two players, Sasha and myself who are desperate for a game that neither one of us has to run. However, we’ve been at it a few years so we’re more than happy to help ! Experience We know the system pretty well, but are also more than flexible enough to play with custom shards (alternate settings) and have even come up with and played in our own. We love working with all the exotic and interesting splats (ones outside of core) and have quite a bit of success with custom projects as well. Requirements Due to some hearing problems, we’re limited to text adventures only. Typically we roll on skype but we’re happy to work in other venues. However, while a little slower, text does allow for some pretty major advantages: More time to think about just how to phrase something or inject that little bit of extra cool into your stunt work ! This can be pretty important when life or death can depend on how awesome and lacking in rational sanity your actions are. A complete log of everything said and done. It’s really helpful to be able to go back and look up that NPC’s name from the other week when your memory isn’t as good as your characters. No distractions; you can listen to your own music, get up to use the restroom or tinker/lookup various things to your hearts content without interrupting flow or missing anything. We’re also looking for a nice commitment; if things go well, a long term game would be best ! We’d also prefer a game that isn’t solar based as it’s our least favorite splat or nothing but combat, killing and slaughter. A little violence and mayhem can make for a good story but it shouldn’t be the sole focus ! Schedule We’re free most of the time ! I work a M-F 9-5 job in the EST time zone but other than that our schedules are pretty open. Currently we’ve got a commitment every other saturday afternoon/evening, but we can schedule between that or on other days. Sundays are ideal ! Ideally we’d like to play every week or two Beyond just that, we offer a number of assets that would make your adventure great ! Plucky attitudes to make an rp-centric adventure fun ! Image editing skills (See the above, below and maybe to the side !): We don’t consider a character sheet complete without a proper picture and tend to spend hours searching and photoshopping to get it JUUUST right. Web assets ! We have a private phpbb forum, mediawiki wiki set up (with logins tied to the forums) and other fun custom assets, such as our own adaptation to lovely dice rollers with fancy ajax built in so that players see the rolls and results of others in real time ! Ask if you’re really interested and I can give you a private tour. If feasible we can even do other custom work to make fun utilities. Hard, behind the scenes work. We really enjoy those details that make a campaign extra special, from easy to use wiki pages and templates to detailed writeups of NPCs. Most recently we came up with a clickable maps for cities to put right into the wiki, hand drawn (well on the computer) and linked such that every district and important building has a hover over and (eventually) links to the right section on the wiki describing what they are. We have materials we can help share if you don’t have access to all the text resources ! Anyway, hopefully this sparks some interest, there’s only so long we could wait and hunt for a game to open up before we just have to go out and rally up players and an ST ourselves.
