Player looking for a sci-fi group to play with

I've never played a sci-fi game and would really like to. I'm available on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
Is there any particular type of sci-fi you are interested in? Also, what systems do you know?

I'm familiar with AD&D somewhat and quite familiar with D&D 3.5 and 5e though as I said I have no experience with sci-fi games. Something sort of along the lines of Wil Wheaton's Titansgrave: Ashes of Valkana on Geek and Sundry would be very cool.
well I am currently looking for players for a 5E game called Insidias (its spelled right, its just Latin) Its a Dark, gritty sci-fi RPG with all that good stuff such as Massive oppressive Communist Governments, space combat, homebrew blaster rules, excessive amounts of freedom in player creation, ect. feel free to apply if you are interested.
I'm one of the rare Traveller Referees here on Roll20. It's the Classic Hard Sci Fi game, I'd be running the edition by Mongoose Press. The Setting is called "Edge of the Abyss" 50 years ago, a sporadic series of Wars of Succession began, in and between different Sectors across charted space, as what had long ago been the Terran Empire continued its inexorable, painfully slow decline, due to Internal political struggles, intrigue, palace revolts, planetary rebellions, interstellar trade wars, and House on House rivalries. After exploring the Galaxy for centuries, The Abyss is a star desert, and as far as Humanity can go, to Spinward. Now facing their own eventual limitations to expansion, there is a slow but steady concern among the different Interstellar nations that exist, regarding the development of the remaining worlds and resources, with an eye to future survival. It is now the Year 5440, and this is life at the Edge of the Abyss.
