Starting a D&D 4e campaign [every Friday; 14:00 MST/PST8PDT; 16:00 EST; 23:00 CET]

Hi. After looking for games with a DM, that would be interesting for me and seeing the discussion about, teaching players how to be a DM, I thought I will contribute that way: While mastering a campaign myself and hopefully passing some knowledge, ideas and advises on, I would like to encourage players to master someday. So in the first place, I'm looking for players with some experience in role play, who think about mastering some day. Everybody is welcome but I hope to find some players, who will let me play some time soon in their campaign to ;) I'm looking for a group of 5; maybe 6. Starting at level 1 with 800g item-value. I don't plan on fighting every season and won't make my encounters so hard, that you have to have a specific setup or only combat-powers & feats to survive. We will play on "Eternia" (not the world of He-Man). It is generally based on the Forgotten Realms, but there are certain contrasts. Basically all classes & races are allowed, but you get what you take, so think about your choice carefully, you will have to live with the consequences ! No alignment other than "Lawful good" or "Good" allowed (That's the only restriction). I am looking forward to see a well thought concept and maybe a nice background story. According to that story, I will offer you some benefits for your char. The 22 point-buy system and the basic arrays are used for ability scores. After choosing the scores, you can add +2 on three different scores and +1 on the other three scores. If you insist on rolling them out, you roll them in front of me, without the bonus. I expect that everybody shows up on time (better 10 minutes early than 10 minutes late). Inform me at least one day before the date, if you (may) have to skip it or be late. Have Skype and a microphone ready and set up. Concentrate on the game and avoid disturbance, as much as possible. This said, I hope we can start at October 19th and play for 3, maybe 4 hours. What is the campaign setting? I'd like to join and can play all rolls

High fantasy; basic D&D 4e. No special rolls to fill, just the basic running around in a group doing all kind of stuff. It depends on the plots and the attitude of the group. Not sure if I got your question answered properly. If not, please flesh out, what you exactly want to know.

Wanted to use a rifle/pistol wielder, if alchemy and bullets aren't available I want to bring in a concept of magic weapons that act the same just fire small elemental balls depending on ammo. Haven't been able to find any game statistics on how to make it work so its out in the open.

I basically will put those first in line, who displayed me a rough concept, confirmed that they can appear every Friday on time and stay in contact until the character is finished. @ Kyle: Just stick to the basic rules and use hand-crossbow or wand(s) [dual implement spellcaster] wand for that ? When you use certain classes to enhance range weapons, they enhance the ammunition with arcane power or other power-sources. Also there is a "Quenchquiver" enchantment for bow's and crossbows. Not entirely sure where you want to go. For further discussions on that subject, please contact me in person, because its very specific.

I would like to play a Monk or an Assassin.I have a backstory for both in my mind I would like to know which of the both I should choose.

Play what you want but keep in mind the alignment restriction ...

It seems that I will have three characters soon, ready to play.

I got a Pala-Dragonborn right now. And I guess a Warlock/Rogue-Human. And the third one is playing either a good Assassin-Half Elf or Human Cleric.

The chosen time is unfortunately outside of my ability to participate in. However I must ask out of curiosity. Where did you get your jargon from? Because I have never heard your choice of jargon before.

Not sure what you are talking about ... My lack of spelling and grammar ? All self trained :P

still confused how a warlock/rogue and halfelf assassin can play as good unless we're in a vatican hitman style game lol which would be sick btw

A rogue may be like Robin Hood; Warlock doesn't have to get his pact from evil entities. And the assassin; yea. I'm also curious. Lets wait for the background story =)

Still missing a concept from Danny S. and Joseph G. It seems I have 3 players ready to play right now. One of them has to decide between two concepts. So if someone else is interested, there are still spots to fill.

hey, i'm interested in joining your game if thats okay. I am thinking of playing an elan human swordmage|wizard hybrid (controller/off-tank), but will willing to change this if that does not fit into the party.

We seem to lack a leader if one player is picking his assassin. But besides that, you are free to play what you want. It seems we have a paladin; rogue/warlock & assassin (or cleric) for now. I won't be able to join this campaign due to schedule conflicts, but feel free to take a look at the campaign I'm running . It's designed to be a chance for frequent DMs to get in some decent character play. :P

After the first session with all six players. Two of them didn't showed up without canceling a week later. If there are still some players around who want to participate in my D&D 4e group, get a level 1 character ready for next Friday and contact me on Skype (all necessary information are in my first comment).
