Pathfinder Beginner One Shot - Monday 7/1/13 @ 9PM EST LF 4 Players

This is mostly combat based: 75/25 combat/ roleplay  Your hometown of Sandpoint is a quaint seaside settlement that periodically has problems with monsters, such as wicked goblins and hungry ghouls, but the citizens always manage to endure and survive. Lately, however, a far greater danger has come to threaten the town. A few weeks ago, livestock started to disappear from nearby farms. Sometimes a half-eaten corpse is found, sometimes only bloodstains. The people of Sandpoint are afraid, and mayor Kendra Deverin is growing desperate. She hopes some heroes will volunteer to search out this menace and put an end to it before it kills a person. She’s offered a reward of 1,000 gold pieces to the group that stops this mysterious creature. Although no one has seen the killer directly, a long black fang was found in one of the animal corpses, prompting the locals to dub the unseen killer “Black Fang.” Welcome to a world of exciting adventure, deadly monsters, and brave heroes! This is Paizo's Pathfinder Beginner's Box Set. This game will help new players get to know the game. All and any new comers are welcome. Howdy howdy! I'd be very interested in perhaps participating in this. I have recently begun to prep the wife and kids for a weekly family "Pathfinder" night (a generic "Family Game Night" was short lived). After running them through the 4e Red Box, they're very excited about it, and I decided to roll with PF from here on out. I suppose running with this with you folks would just help me to see how it's all done, as well as maybe figure out this snazzy RollD20 thingy-what's-it. Few questions: 1) Web cam required? 2) What do we use for voice comms? 3) I have a character ready (already rolled stats and stuff) would that work instead of the "20 Point Buy"? I don't know how that works. 4) Why don't penguins have knees!!?? Thanks for your expeditious consideration....... Tailwinds, Jason
No webcam required I would like to use roll20 for comms but skype as a back up I would need to see the stats before making a call. Of course penguins have knees. If they didn't have knees, they wouldn't be able to move on land, or lower themselves to sit on their eggs. The knees on the penguin are hidden under the bird's feathers, protected from the crazy antarctic cold. I have to agree that the way penguins waddle along it seems as if they don't have knees, but their silly looking walk is the result of having very short legs and not from a lack of knees. Of course, being a few pounds on the chunky side doesn't much help them with their stride either. I hope this helps
i'll play i'd love to get away from reality and if players are a issue i can have my GF play through my comp as a player as well
That could work, send me sheets and Ill get you added
okay will do
lol this will introduce interesting role play ops
okay we will be submitting a elf sort and a human paladin
I am sorry for the last minute change, I have had some issues come up and will not be able to proceed with the game tonight. I will run this again very soon.
