Synovia x magic jar

After speaking with Miro, Syn returns to her room and takes out the jar. She sits on her bed and contemplates what she is about to ask. For 19 years she assumed her father was dead but she really didn't know. She had so many questions about who she was, maybe it was her approaching birthday (2 days), but she wanted to know for sure. Staring at the jar she whispers "show me my father."
The jar is cool in Synovia's hand, the entirety of it gone crystalline some time in the night. The light that filters in from the window hits is multi-faceted surface and throws prismatic sparkles all over her room like a flurry of fae folk dancing on the walls. At her insistence, the jar gives soft pulse but it s much weaker and fainter than before - more a hint than a voice of magic. The jar does not change its substance and settles back, almost sleepily, to its inert state, faintly magical and passive. (Achievement Unlocked Synovia: Papa, Can you hear me?)

As she holds the jar, her excitement fades to disappointment as the hope her father might still be alive withers and dies. She says to herself "Now I know for sure, he is truly dead." She sits by herself and silently cries for a few minutes, then angerily wipes the tears from her eyes, as she scolds herself "Stop being a foolish baby, you knew he was gone. Having this jar didn't change that." She  sets the jar down, splashes water on her face and heads downstairs for the lunch rush.
