LFP Mutants and Masterminds 3e

Saturday noon GMT. fortnightly. Due to scheduling with the entire group there maybe be some weeks it is needed to be played on a differnet day but we always make it work for everyone. The setting can be summed up as "The world went wrong when superpowers emerged 10 years ago. The government of the USA retreated out of most of the country to hold a few key points like Washington.  You are now part of a team of superhumans being sent to reclaim a city. You are to  have a superhero theme in order to try and regain public support.  The city is run by a few superpowered gangs  At this point the team has a nanite infused speedster who can sacrifice all of his speed for strength but it takes him 10 turns He also has very regen and is stealthy ( He seems quite willing to drop the strength thing if someone wants to be a big strong guy), A green lantern style energy manipulator,a human torch who is always aflame, and a batman style character with very good teleporting. There is no magic in this context and summoning is a nono. If you have any characters you think would fill a missing role or work well please let me know. :)

Is it possible to push back the start time by an hour and a half?  If not I totally understand.  If it is possible for me to join you, I would like to play someone who is basically a werewolf.  The exact details of which can be worked out.
I had three ideas, actually lol. I'm still new to the system, so I admittedly don't know how everything works yet. As I mentioned in said email, if you give the ok to play with a newbie, I have a LOT of free time to study the srd remind myself of how things work. At any rate, I have three rough concepts that might work, listed below. Let me know if any jump out at you. The Goalie: A young-ish girl (in my head, mid teens) who has very strong force fields, roller skates, and a hockey obsession. She plays off her age to appear young and/or immature, but is smarter than she looks, and can be quite crafty. In some drafts, she has issues with drugs and/or experience as government lab rat, as she claims she can 'shield' herself from the negative effects, which is not 100% accurate. Some drafts had her take drugs to enhance speed, strength, etc on the same idea. In still others, she had some gadgets from rocket skates for speed and various trick hockey sticks/pucks, from grappling hook hockey stick to exploding pucks.  Shadow: A woman in her early twenties with various shadow powers. Overlooked all her life on the streets, one day she blended into the shadows more so than ever. In most drafts, she can enter her own shadow space and travel through (and/or teleport) through shadows. Since someone already can teleport, maybe work this as invisibility in shadows? Either way, being able to snare/hold people by capturing their shadows should be a given. Potentially a wave of shadows to blind enemies, and be a 'crowd control' type of character. A LOT of flexibility with her powers, as in some drafts I've had her make monsters out of shadows, use shadow blasts, being able to read the 'dark thoughts' of people, and being able to siphon powers 'into the shadows' which would be herself. Granted, all of that would be highly unbalanced for gameplay, and I do not expect - or recommend - all of that. Just various ideas of shadow builds I've thought of over the years. Could have good synergy with the fire hero, like a light/dark team.  Knockout: A woman in her early 30's, stunningly beautiful (in her mind, at least) with the advertised power of enhanced strength. Formerly a boxer, she knows how to fight a bit, though I would not call her a martial arts master or anything. Her true might is with her mind, being able to read minds, and using that to predict an opponent's moves. She's very vain, and uses her mind to influence people's perception of her, to be liked, loved, adored... to be a sexy 'knockout' as it were. Again, just rough concepts as of this time, and I'd be willing to work with the DM to make a hero fit the world. I only vaguely remember the rules, as the game I had joined for this system never went past the planning stages. Hopefully you'll see something you like and we can make something work, as I'd love to get a chance to play this system. Thanks for reading, and I hope to hear from you soon! ;)
