Pathfinder Sheet: Items tab, Inventory - Can you easily re-order items?

I seem to be having difficulty keeping my inventory organized. Is there a way to drag and re-order items? Having everything just listed in the order I added them is becoming tiresome, and the only way I've found to swap the positions of items in the list is to copy/paste to a text document or something and tediously switch things around piecemeal. Needless to say, this is totally unacceptable. What are my options?

Unfortunately to do what you're requesting requires web technologies that aren't available in character sheets.

Forgive me, I'm not familiar with the sheet development system here at Roll20. My initial suggestion was merely the most user-friendly approach I could think of; there are others which might be possible. I have programming experience and would be willing to assist in the implementation of a solution. Maybe an additional numerical field which represents the item's index in the list (like an array) for each item and a button that automatically sorts the items into order based on their assigned index? Worst case scenario, how about the ability to add custom groups that can be individually hidden? So I could separate the inventory into named sub-lists like Weapons/Ammo, Armor/Clothing, and Miscellaneous Supplies? That way instead of adding an item that goes automatically to the end of the overall list I can add an item to one of the groups and it will go to the end of that sub-list, so there is less manual swapping to be done?

Roll20 can't use javascript in the sheets themselves, so what you wan't won't work.

That can be done (though not with custom groups, you could have pre-defined groups), but ordering within those sub-groupings still can't be done for the reasons Mark mentioned.  Which Pathfinder sheet are you using? Looks like there are 4 of them.  I know  Vince is helping to maintain one (I believe it's the first Pathfinder sheet in the drop down list, though I could be wrong).  You might want to reach out to him.   This thread is the most active for discussions around the Pathfinder sheet, so you may want to pose this suggestion there (though I'm sure Vince will eventually get to this thread), or you could reach out to him directly via PM.
