Session 6 Log

Traveled in via the Supersonic to Newport and took the monorail to the Arbor. At every station, every human male was searched. We saw several spots where there was bomb damage throughout the city. We delivered Nilo to the Butler and he paid us well. he paid us for the whole 10 day, 1000 credits. We're on retainer and will be paid again at the end of the tenday. On the way home, an elevator door opens and there is a HUGE bomb. 20 KG of TD-19 and a 25 minute timer. Rod checks the bomb for booby traps and disarms the bomb. We claim the 20 kg of the TD-19. We continue home. On arrival, we see bullet holes and laser burns around the neighborhood. No one seems as surprised as we are, it's "Tuesday". We hit up Scooney's and crash. We get a good night's rest. We check the news and find out the rumors (listed on the forum). Joseph meets up with the Blues and finds out that they stomped the Valkeries. He headed to their base and administered necessary aid. Rod and Kyle headed off to track down a strange vendor said to be selling interesting weaponry. His shop is in the Warrens, very near the Labyrinth. The shopkeeper has 2 L3 combat bots and deals in "unique" weaponry. Kyle buys a "Rafflur" pistol. It has a max setting of 2 SEU, but no screen/suit known stops the beam. On our way back, a small, young Dralasite confronts us and tells us he doesn't like us and that we shouldn't come back. After selling our 20kg of TD19 and our last adventure sundries, we all net 160 SGI's. We head back home and grab some food and chat with Scooney. We ask about the bombings and a possible supplier of the TD19. We head off to talk to Mr. Beadle. Scooney asks if we're forming a company. Rod states that we are Freelance Problemsolvers. Scooney offers to help us offset costs (lower our rent) should we need to work up some extra gear. We find Mr. Beadle hanging out in Vulutech's trash bins. He has his "Ho's" with him, pimpin' is hard. He's dressed to the 9's on battle gear and cowboy clothing. He looks like a battle clown. As we approach, he starts chewing on a cigar, awaiting interaction. Rod pays him 10 credits to see what's on his mind. I pay him 100 to find out who is breaking bones of the homeless and single travelers. It turns out to be a Strigi family member (Andrew). The reason this is important to our team, is that not only is he interested in breaking kneecaps, he likes to knock out teeth. We pay him a total of 310 SGI's for his schedule of attacks. We get a very detailed map/schedule of his attack patterns. For an assurance of silence, he gives us some info on who's blowing up the city and where they're getting their explosives. Beadle sends out Mary Megan to deal the information. After haggling and conversation, she wants 500 SGI's to try and hook us up with the people responsible for the bombing. She'll lower the fee to 300 SGI's if we can stop the beating around the city. Rod buys a set of crap clothes to look like a bum. We head off in search of the serial attacker. Rod sets up in the alley and Kyle crawls up on a fire escape to observe the situation. The stakeout is a bust, Strigi doesn't show up. We head home. The next day, Rod gets a call from the Class President, Carrie Goodkind, from our time in University. She mentions our working with the Strigi's and asks about detective work. She says that it's only been 5 days and we're missing 30 people from our graduating class...out of 600. They've just disappeared, leaving all their stuff in their residences. She sends us a list of the missing and the whole graduating class. Rod says 2000 SGI's for the 10 day and 5000 SGI's as a bonus if we solve the mystery. We discuss the Strigi mission and the student disappearances. After a talk, we decide to work on the student problem. As we totally bork up our investigation, the only thing we can come up with as a connection is that they have an "R" in their name, either first or last name. The closest to us, besides Kyle, is Drrrschmud the Dralasite. We discover that we're being followed by a chromed-out Blue Boy. He looks more robot than man. He finds it amusingly interesting that the pattern we have found about the R's. He said that the Blue Boys have taken this section of town and we shouldn't cause trouble or they'll be angry. We find Derp's apartment and ring the bell. He lives in a sorta grungy area of town. A Vrusk answers the door. He directs us to a skeevy PGC office for an odd job interview he attended. He said it didn't feel right. On our way to the office, our elevator opens to a riot. The people are demanding cheaper hovercraft? The elevator immediately crowds front to back with people trying to escape. As the doors close, we hear a sonic dispersal cannon fire, trying to clear the crowds. Kyle notices a weird noise and realizes it's the elevator. He also catches a pickpocket with his hand in the proverbial cookie jar. He stops the thief, just as the elevator noise grows loud enough for all to hear. Rod and Eusyl get to the top of the car and discover it was sabotaged. Eusyl stops the elevator and opens the doors. We then continue toward the offices. We entered the office and Joseph is gagged out by Vrusk perfume. Rod starts asking about our classmates and confronts the yazirian in the office about abducting our classmates. <it rolled to 11 PM and we adjourned for the evening>
All expected players showed up on time. +1 xp Log done. Looks good. +1 xp Not sure if we designated a creativity person this week? Making good progress on the class disappearance mission. Also making progress on the bombings. The haikus from two weeks are now past due - maybe next time. So that will set you at the new total of 57 xp. Looking forward to tomorrow night.
Hello everyone, I am truly sorry for my absence and lack of response to the group (including the haikus) my summer schedule has been more "involved" than I expected. While I really want to play, looking at my schedule I know that I will have problems getting to game until the week of August 17th. For the time being, would it be a good idea to have my character off doing a race or race prepping with the side gig I have going on as a reason for why is out of pocket? Carlos
I think that's a good idea.  We'll bring your character back in when you can play regularly.
