Uploading suddenly doesn't work at all anymore

I'm getting this error: Your upload failed. Your file may be too large (only files up to 5 MB are accepted), been of an illegal filetype (only PNG, JPG, PDF, and GIF are accepted), or your connection may have been interrupted. Please try again. After I resized a bunch, then changed filetypes, I got the same message. So I tried to upload other files that were tiny. Same message. So I uploaded things I'd previously successfully uploaded. Same message. So I'm thinking there's just some sort of problem with my uploading in general. I don't think I reached my maximum for images, because I deleted a bunch recently. I don't know, I'm very confused. I tried the first 3 steps of troubleshooting that I saw on another similar question, and it didn't help. I'm using Chrome on a Mac.

Hello Alan. Sorry to hear you are having problems. You said you already ran through the steps 1-3 so can you post step 4 , the console log. The first 3 steps were from the trouble shooting guide correct?
Ah yes, moving on to step 4 would make sense! Okay, I do have a few extensions going, pop-up blocker and ad blocker. Ok Alan at first glance (remember I'm not a dev so I can't be hundred percent) it says you are over your storage quota limit. If you go to your account page, you can find your storage quota amount on the right side about halfway down. Take a look there and let us know what it says. The devs are away at GENCON or on their way so any response from them will be slower than normal till they get back home. Alan M. said: Ah yes, moving on to step 4 would make sense! Oh, so do I just keep deleting old art assets to fix it? And thanks again. EDIT: I guess what I'm asking is, it's about being over my TOTAL art asset quota, as opposed to this single art asset.

Yeah, if you are over your limit then you have to remove assets to have room to upload more. You have a file size limit of 5 megs or so (that is for each asset) but you also have an overall limit of 100 megs for a free account subscriber (that is the total of what you upload from your computer) but paid subscribers get a higher limit also. That means you could have 20 assets at 5 megs each, 100 assets at 1 meg, or even 1000 assets at .5 megs. Purchases from the marketplace or listed in the art search in the art tab (it is just below the drop down box that you can select the asset type for the search) are not counted against your quota. Only the picture files that you upload from your computer counts. More info can be found here (roll20 wiki page) about your storage quota and such. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.
Sorry about that not being more clear. Not sure why the alert box isn't popping up. We'll look into that. Pat is absolutely right in his diagnosis. Thanks!
