Next session's Checklist

The con is running late... I'm worried I won't make it and Sundays are getting tougher. I'll do my damnedest but I was barely there last time and I'm worried now I'll miss this one :(
Is there a reason Belanor hasn't used his wand of magic missiles yet? I was just thinking about that item and how it hasn't been used. Is it too weak?
I actually asked Vetari about it last session because I assumed he had it.
i barely remembered it lol. I remember belanor had it because he was lacking anything major in terms of ranged attacks. Of course so am I, but I've got my sling bullets of never-blind-anything lol.
True, but the want also recharges and is guaranteed damage too. ;)
If I recall correctly, this wand has 3 charges and doesn't recharge. Still useful for whomever is wielding it.
Correct. In regards to the inability to recharge. As far as far as the charges, dunno about that.

I don't use the wand too often because: 1) I forget I had it the last 2 sessions 2) Belanor has a ridiculous movement speed to always within melee range of someone, thus decreasing the scenarios of using any ranged weapons 3) the wand doesn't recharge and I have my darts for a similar purpose. I think it's best if Darrak held onto the wand since it'll make him have a ranged weapon for when he needs it. Marco G. said: Correct. In regards to the inability to recharge. As far as far as the charges, dunno about that. It has 7 charges...And can cast magic missile at X-th level X=the number of charges spent. So now I'm thinking that this wand could be a very useful 10d4+10 vs the BBEG when we need it.
See here. It's been in the handouts for all to see there, too. Is a 7th level magic missile an auto-hit 10d4+10?!
I think its 9d4+9, but yes.
I am not a big fan of this new front-end interface, especially forums being paged now. However, the new dice rolling interface in game just made me mess my pants.
Just now noticed the interface. Sucks on phones cause now I can't click on new messages in the top right corner like before. Have to go to the actual campaign, then the forum for it.

Hey guys, I don't know if you are aware, but I just discovered the class action output options. But they allow you automatically attack rolls and reminders to specific actions.
Wait, I thought that was how you did your sneak attack stuff. And how Darvin had done his hunters mark and colossus slayer.
Marco G. said: Wait, I thought that was how you did your sneak attack stuff. And how Darvin had done his hunters mark and colossus slayer. No, I was using a custom built macro before, this makes it much simpler, plus I can attach things to other saves and skill checks.
Yep.
DM Rob is providing us each with backup character sheets, make sure to have it filled out with your new character (that none of us will need) before next session!!
Rob said: DM Rob is providing us each with backup character sheets, make sure to have it filled out with your new character (that none of us will need) before next session!! I just updated it so everyone now has a blank backup character sheet. Create one at level 6. It can not be the same race/class combination as anyone else in the party has been ... but can be one out of two of the same (as long as it is built differently). You can also use the races from the elemental evil guide (Genasi, wink wink) And any other race or class that has been published by Wizards as long as you run it by me first. Starting gold for backup characters is 500gp, no magic items. One or two of you may die in this battle, so be prepared. Mentally prepared, we don't want any crying fits. Take it like a man if your guy goes deady-bye. Thank you!
Hey guys, should we post our backups race/class here? I definitely have a strong feeling about what I'll have ready should Orryn meet his fate.
I guess that does make sense. We need to make sure there isn't overlap.

I call dibs on Goliath Druid then. I'd also be willing to roll him as a Barbarian should we come up short on either DPS or Tanking.
And I'll be taking a Paladin. Likely a half elf.
I would like to take the Mariner Fighting style as explained in the Seafaring Adventures handout. It reads as thus Mariner Fighting Style - As long as you are not wearing heavy armor or using a shield, you have a swimming speed and a climbing speed equal to your normal speed, and you gain a +1 bonus to AC.
What kind of a Pally were you looking to be? A tank? If not then we will still need a tank for replacement characters. lol

Sounds good to me as long as you can link me or point me to find the Seafaring adventures handout source?
Can someone (maybe Belanor or Vetari) roll up a goddarn cleric as a backup? Unless Tarnach's backup pally is a healer build.

This sounds badass Oh it is. An epic story of a clan lost and a mythical beast in league with an invading force.
DM Rob, can you post to the handouts maps of Paradeux and Jixia? I am working up the details for my backup storyline.
Here's Paradeux, I left the tab open to Jixia so you can log in and zoom in and such. If you finish with that and want me to switch the tab to Kheir so you can do the same in higher res just let me know.
Here's the link https://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/unearthe... And I was planning on just being a general paladin. I mean the best part about them is they have high defense by default. With the mariner fighting style I can be more mobile than anyone else in the water and vertically, at least until belanor gets to level 9 and can run on walls and water(assuming he survives). And they get lay on hands which has a huge range for healing health, diseases, and poison. With divine smite I can lay on the damage as well. The auras they have also grant many boons. I will definitely be using cure wounds a lot, but that's about all the health restoring spells I have. I believe I might have access to one spell that generates an aura that grants temp HP to a group, but I'm not sure. In general most of my healing will be lay on hands. As for my build, I'm going for something like a kiting paladin. I want to force enemies to attack me, to focus on me with my defense. Spells like compelled duel, and features like my vow of enmity. But honestly, I'm just making a very well balanced guy who can contribute in many areas. Healing, damage, tank, buff and debuffs are all options. But I definitely don't think we should focus on my paladin to heal. But between me and Orryn, I think we can do a good deal of healing between us. Just in case nobody wants to roll a cleric.
Well, I'm contemplating a monk or a wizard. Just not sure which yet. lol
Maybe an all out Necromancy Wizard? lol You guys would love undead minions right? lol

There's a lot to be said about an undead army. Especially since there's a few paladin spells that give damage bonuses to all allies in range. An extra d4 to 30 friendly zombies surrounding me is no small matter.
Just remember that they have siege weapons attuned to necrotic power and at least one necromancer on staff, taking them a whole new army may not be the best of plans.
Brock J. said: Maybe an all out Necromancy Wizard? lol You guys would love undead minions right? lol As long as it's not a human wizard, this is fine with me. Necromancy typically is not good-aligned though, so be careful
Rob said: Yes please, I want to figure out where my druid comes from. Done
Yea I don't know. Necromancy is fine as long as the zombies are close. Losing control isn't really much of a concern. It's if the party members could handle a lawful evil alignment. LE isn't like the chaotic evil alignment that would shank someone just for the fun of it. LE has no qualms with killing someone, but there has to be a reason. Like a LE assassin wouldn't kill just because he felt like it, but he would if he was receiving adequate payment. It would all depend on the alignment of your Pally since they aren't required to be Lawful Good.
I'm neutral. But I don't think that necromancy has to be evil. For example, since we're playing under the Norse pantheon, you could have trained and learned magic under one of the valkyries, and that gave you a degree of control over summoning and controlling the eiherjaren, the fallen warriors of Valhalla. Then you can summon Norse Viking zombies freely to aid you

Then again, this is all a mute point. Darrak isn't going to die anyway... :P
Yeah I'll take those odds. Darrak is a safe bet to stay alive. Unless of course he gets polymorphed into a toad. Then we're in trouble.
I'm going to import a Necromancy Wizard in from my vault. Will have to make a few adjustments as he's like 2 levels higher I think, but it saves me a ton of typing since the spells are already there in the character sheet. Easier to drop two levels than it is to type it all again.
I just need the sheet linked to me so I can update it all. Character's name is Voltair Blackmoon. I can adjust all the stats easy enough once it's linked. It just saves me a ton of typing. lol
Sounds good to me Also, there are no such thing as vikings in this multiverse But we can say there are ancient Kheiron champions that are similar, I'll let you come up with the name and history of them as long as it ties into an existing location on Paradeux.
Brock, you have to change his race too. No human/wizard combo as it's too close to Vetari, even if the spells and flavor are different. Any other race is fine ... I suggest a Genasi as over 70% of Kheirons are Genasi
Yea no problem. I just basically wanted the sheet because the spells are prepped already. Changing the rest will be easy. :)
